Rubber Equalizers Absorb Road Shock and Reduce Chucking

Rubber Equalizer Vs Standard Equalizer

Hauling a trailer that's still equipped with standard steel equalizers is bound to produce a less-than-ideal towing experience. This is because those standard equalizers allow the road shock from your trailer to transfer directly to your tow vehicle, resulting in a rough, bumpy ride.

In addition, road shock can put added stress on your trailer's frame, suspension, running gear, and more, all of which can lead to increased maintenance time and cost. It can also cause damage to the contents of your trailer due to constant chucking and jerking. And the last thing you want is for your electronics to be tossed around inside your RV before you set up camp, or for your horse to get jostled around as you bring him home from the show.

These rubber equalizers help to solve those problems. When road shock occurs while hauling your trailer, the rubber inserts absorb and dampen the vibration and bounce, resulting in a less bumpy ride. The inserts also absorb the back-and-forth movement to reduce chucking and jerking so that you don't get thrown around inside your cab.

CRE3000 Rubber Insert

Each of these equalizers also offers up to 3" of up-and-down travel. The more travel your suspension has, the better it is able to compensate for road shock. When you hit a pothole, for example, these equalizers allow your suspension to account for that dip on one side so that the opposite wheels aren't forced to compensate. As a result, you'll get a smoother ride, even when you're driving over uneven campground roads or speed bumps.

Easy Installation

These equalizers directly replace your trailer's factory equalizers, so installation is straightforward. Simply remove the shackle links from your factory equalizer and the shoulder bolt from the frame hanger. Remove the factory equalizer and replace it with the MORryde rubber equalizer.

MORryde Shackle Upgrade Kit

You can reuse your existing hardware with these equalizers, but we recommend using MORryde's suspension upgrade kit (sold separately). Factory shackle links wear out pretty quickly and easily, so replacing them with MORryde's thick, heavy-duty shackle links will save you the time and effort of having to frequently replace them. Not to mention you'll get easy-to-grease bolts and long-lasting bronze bushings with the kit for a totally upgraded setup.

by:

What a difference these made in the ride of my camper and my truck. Quick easy install.

by:

I believe these are worth the money. It is really a lot smoother ride on the fifth wheel and it also better ride in the truck.

by:

Install these before we took a trip from Kansas to the Grand Canyon noticed a huge difference in how it towed also noticed the difference in the inside things weren’t thrown around all over the place like with the stock suspension that came from the factory

Looks awesome, Jarod! Love the photos :) How was your trip for the 4th of July?

by:

Wow Jerry in customer service has been amazing! Companies need more people like him. Oh and the parts I ordered were exactly what I needed!

In depth product knowledge and prompt customer service keeps me coming back to etrailer.

by:

I wish I added this sooner. I tow a pressure washing trailer 5 days a week with 8k pounds on it. It rides as close to perfect as possible with sloshing water and all. I’ve gotten under there one time in the first week to tighten the bolts, but since then I haven’t had to.

by:

I could tell that the trailer was pulling different after a couple of miles. I store the trailer about 20 from home and after parking it I thought I had a different trailer. This upgrade is well worth the investment.

by:

Doing all of this work was a total upgrade, and I am very happy with the results. The crossmembers were easy to install and mad a big difference in the way the trailer tracks now...

by:

I got these as an upgrade for my Wolf Pack 365Pack16. The stock equalizers were cracked and about to fail after a year and about 15k miles towing. I'll know how well they work after I tow to FL from IN in a couple weeks.

by:

A great delivery time. The suspension kit along with the heavy duty shackle kit was a challenge to put on. Test drive tomorrow. I'm happy with product. Very heavy duty. Quite a bit better than stock ones.

by:

The more ride equalizer was in great condition exactly what I thought. It should be the wet bolt. Kit appeared to have been a kid that was returned. Several of the bolts were tore out of the bubble wrap. Everything was there so I didn’t complain, but if you’re asking, I would think a an item that was obviously returned should’ve been discounted

by:

Excellent Customer Service!!! I had ordered the wrong Shock Absorbing Suspension Equalizers for my 5th wheel RV and didn’t realize it until we were trying to put them on???????. Contacted Lauren from Etrailer that day and received the right Equalizers in less than 72hrs??!!! ??

by:

This ths 3rd moryde suspension that I have added to an rv. I wouldn't haul an rv without one.

by:

Arrived in one day. Seems well made, I’m sure they will soften ride in my pull type RV.
After lifting trailer by frame to where tires barely touched ground, installing took about 4 hours. Installed MORryde wet bolts and had tires balanced at same time.

Thanks for including all of the photos Bob! Seems like install came together pretty seamless for you. Do you have any adventures planned to help test them out?

by:

These are a direct fit replacement. Use the measurement chart, and you can’t go wrong. Built quality is far superior. Actual bronze bushings instead of the plastic OEM ones. Can’t say the trailer feels like it tows any differently, but I’m pretty happy with the results.

by:

Easy Install (I have semitrailer repair experience) I like that they are wet pins and should last much longer than the dry plastic bushings. Perfect fit for Grand Design XLS 23LDE.

by:

Excited to get this on my trailer. While not the best suspension upgrade it will sure make a difference. I’ve had several other equalizers throughout the years on various rvs and prefer MorRyde.

by:

I am a professional Automotive Technician and found the installation of the MoRryde CRE3000 with wet bolts straight forward. Plenty of videos available on YouTube. The only thing I noticed is that people are hammering out the shackle bolts. I did this on one bolt and noticed the welded support was bending, Not Good. My solution was to use a large bearing puller to give support during removal and installation of the pressed in shackle bolts. Found the process to be much quicker than using a hammer and punch. See picture.

These were a perfect fit for my 2017 Keystone Cougar Xlite SGS28. After almost 10 years, my original OEM equalizers were pretty well worn out. Moreover, the leaf spring shackles were worn to the point one had split and was in danger of coming apart. This was a huge upgarde and it will improve my towing confidence! Thanks etrailer!

Thanks for the awesome review, David! Sounds like you caught those worn components at just the right time before they turned into a much bigger issue. After nearly 10 years of use, that’s definitely a well-earned upgrade. Glad to hear everything fit perfectly on your Cougar and that the new setup already has you feeling more confident while towing. We really appreciate you sharing the photos too!

  • How to Determine Replacement 6,000 lb Leaf Springs For Arctic Wolf 5th Wheel Trailer
Hey Bekzod, So while we don't have a way of knowing the exact leaf springs for your Arctic Wolf 5th wheel trailer, I can help you determine the correct replacements. You do have to take a measurement, though it's pretty easy, as all you need to do is measure your current leaf springs from center-to-center of the spring eyes. Regarding the accuracy, since the springs flatten a bit over time, you should go with ones that measure a bit shorter than what you currently have. For example, if...

You don't want to go too crazy with a higher capacity or you're going to get a rough ride. 4,000 lb leaf springs like the 25-1/4" Long # e57SR or the 26" Long # e22YR would be a good choice if they match...
