Question:

I have a customer that wants me to upgrade the equalizer and install wet bolts, his camper is in storage and cannot confirm the correct sizes. I am looking at CRE3000 and wet bolts and heavy duty shackles. Their camper model number is ACAT263FKDSLE Thanks Greg 10Yes RS Solutions

Hi Greg; I wish there was a way for me to know the correct parts for that 2023 Coachmen Catalina but we don't have a way to look it up. The only company that lists their parts like that is Grand Design. If they can get out to their trailer and measure I can help but without those measurements we don't have a way to confirm fitment.

More than likely they either have a 33" wheelbase which would be the CRE3000 # MR87ZR or a 35" wheelbase # MR27ZR. Then for wet bolts and shackle straps they're probably the 2-1/4" # MR46ZR but could also be the 3-1/8" # MR76ZR. Let me know what you find out.

Don't hesitate to upgrade to this system. I used the Moryde HD shackles, wet bolts w grease fittings and the Road Armor equalizer. The suspension works so much better. It's also a peace of mind that you have much stronger and durable components under your rig. It soaks up most of the nasty roads we all travel. It's a bit of a job to do if a DIY'er. Some mechanical background is helpful. Need some room, good tools and patients too. Lots of u tube vids on how to do it. While you're doing that don't forget to go through all your axle bearings, seals and brakes. Then you can enjoy all your hard work with more relaxing travel days. Good luck with your project!!

This upgrade was a no brainer. My wife and I have a 2023 Heartland Northtrail 22CRB. After doing research on the suspension system that was put on by the manufacturer, I realized it was just a matter of time before their “plastic” bushings wore out and it would then be metal on metal.we decided to go ahead and install the Moryde system earlier than later, as several of the bushings were already worn out. In the long run, I don’t expect to have to do this again as the wet system allows the brass bushings to stay lubricated. I have put over 15,000 miles on the trailer since installing the system. The trailer tows better, handles rough roads better and over time less maintenance will be required.

@BradW I couldn’t agree more. It took my wife and I about 2 hours to swap out the factory junk for the Moryde system. I did use air tools and used 2 floor jacks. By taking the pressure off of the opposing axle working on the old and new suspension was VERY easy and SAFE! You can make it easy on yourself if you spray all the old suspension fasteners and bushings with penetrating oil a day before you start the job. Working one side at a time is how we did it. If you can repack wheel bearings you can do this job without too much trouble. Watch the videos on it a few times. Our 34’ Grand Design pulls like a dream and everything in the trailer stays put on travel days. The stress of towing is cut way down knowing the suspension is strong and working properly.
