The Peterson 3-3/4" round trailer tail light keeps things simple and dependable. It combines stop, turn, and tail functions in one red-lens unit powered by a single 1157 dual-filament bulb. Designed for 12V DC systems, it draws 2.2 amps at 12.8V—just right for steady brightness without overloading the circuit. The red wrap-over lens distributes light evenly, keeping your signals clear on the road day or night.
Installation is easy thanks to the 2-wire design and integrated grounding. The brown wire handles running lights, the red wire powers the stop and turn functions, and the ground is made automatically through the mounting hardware. Two 1/4" studs spaced 2" apart make for a secure surface mount that fits cleanly on most brackets or flat panels. The 10" wire leads give flexibility during setup so you can get a neat connection without splicing too short.
Built for steady use, the housing and lens are made of tough polycarbonate that resists cracking from vibration or impact. The screw-on lens design makes bulb replacement quick—just remove a couple of screws, swap the 1157 bulb, and you’re back on the road. It’s a solid choice when you want a basic light you can service yourself without special tools or sealed housings to fight with later on.
At only 3-3/4" in diameter and 2-5/8" thick, this light is compact enough to fit smaller trailers or utility rigs where space is tight. Its round profile blends in cleanly while still being DOT compliant for safety. Pair it with the matching driver-side version (#432000) if you need license plate illumination on the opposite side for a full setup that matches perfectly in size and style.
