Optronics ST16 Series Combination Tail Light Dimensions

Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The circuit board is sealed, which means that water will not damage the diodes or circuit board.

Combination Lights for Trailers Over 80" Wide

Flatbed trailer over 80" wide with combination tail lights

If a trailer is 80" or wider at its widest point, then it requires rear clearance lights in addition to basic trailer lights. These clearance lights indicate the width of the trailer when it is viewed from the back.

To meet these requirements on a flatbed utility trailer where the bed extends past the wheels, you can install combination trailer lights that include the rear clearance function. For proper mounting, the lights must be installed at the widest points on the rear of the trailer - one on each corner.

We have exactly what you are looking for. The replacement light we offer that will work for you is part # ST16RB. • Replacement for Wesbar Passenger Side Taillight
The Wesbar light that the replacement lens # 102641 you were looking at fits has been discontinued. The company that bought Wesbar has been getting rid of a lot of their lights so it is unlikely you will find it. However, the Optronics Combination Trailer Tail Light # ST16RB will work as a replacement. This light has the same dimensions at 8-1/16" long x 2-7/8" tall x 2-13/16" deep. We also have the driver side # ST17RB if you would like to replace the pair.

  • Wiring a Replacement Submersible Trailer Tail Light
The Optronics Submersible Trailer Tail Light, part # ST16RB, that you purchased will have 3 wires coming out of the back. There will be a white wire for ground, a brown wire for tail light function and a green wire for the right turn and brake function. There is not a molded plug available for this light and you will first want to determine the function of the two wires coming from the plug from the old light. There are two options, the two wires may be a ground wire and a right turn...

  • Is Wire Removal Required when Replacing the Wesbar 3504 Tail Light
If you are replacing your Wesbar 3504 tail light then there is no need to remove the wiring from inside the assembly itself. A replacement light, like part # ST17RB for the left hand or part # ST16RB for the right hand, will come with its own wiring that you will connect to the wiring on your trailer. A review video and an installation video have been linked for you to reference.

  • Correct Replacement Taillight for Trail Star Boat Trailer
In order to replace the taillight on a Trail Star Trailer you'd simply find one with the same style (shape/function) and then choose the correct replacement based on size. There are several types of Trail Star Trailers so it would be difficult to offer an exact replacement without knowing what you have but most of their boat trailers use a light similar to the Optronics Combination Trailer Tail Light part # ST16RB for passenger side and part # ST17RB for driver side. These feature a two...

  • Replacement Trailer Taillight Lens with SAE STIAP2 04 DOT DOT Number On It
The SAE STIAP2 04 DOT number you provided is a DOT approval number, which states that the lens is compliant with DOT regulations. Because of that, that number isn't typically a good identifier for finding a replacement lens. However, in this case, we previously had a customer send in a photo of this particular lens which we managed to match up to the Optronics part # A39RB which is a replacement for their # ST36RB and # ST37RB taillights or a Wesbar 3571. The lamp housing should have...

  • Replacement Tail Light for 2000 TrailStar Bass Tracker Pro Boat Trailer
I looked up some photos of a 2000 TrailStar Bass Tracker Pro Boat Trailer and it most likely uses either the Optronics Combination Trailer Tail Light part # ST16RB for passenger and part # ST17RB for driver side or the Optronics Combination Trailer Tail Light part # ST8RB for passenger side or part # ST7RB for driver. Unfortunately, you'd have to replace the entire tail light as we'd not have just the lens.

  • Water Gets Into Boat Trailer Taillights and Blows Fuse
You've hit the nail on the head. When the water is in the taillights assembly, it shorts the power supply circuit to ground causing you to blow fuses. I've seen folks drill a drain hole in the lowest point of the underside of the lamp housing, but your best course of action is to prevent the water from getting in there in the first place. The best fix would be to replace the existing lights with submersible ones, like the # ST17RB and # ST16RB. These lamps are sealed to keep water completely...

  • Replacement Lens For An Optronics A1STP2 93 Tail Light
Hey John, The Optronics A1STP2 93 compares to the STXXRB line of tail lights so you likely would be able to use the Replacement Tail Light and Side Marker Lens for Optronics Combination Tail Light # A16RB. The mounting holes in the lens are spaced 2-5/16" Vertically x 7-3/16" Horizontally. If your lens doesn't match that then let me know how the mounting holes are spaced from center to center and I can see if there's a replacement option available.

  • Trailer Running Lights Go Out After Short Time Towing Trailer with a 2009 Toyota Highlander
This sounds like a possible ground problem or dirt/corrosion in the trailer side or vehicle side connectors. Ground issues can be fixed by checking the trailer connector and trailer light grounds and making sure they are attached to clean and corrosion free bare metal surfaces. On the trailer connector pins you can use a sharp tool or wire brush small enough to fit and clean out the dirt and corrosion if present. You can also check to see if the running light power draw is close to or...

To replace the marker light bulb on the # ST16RB lamp, first remove the 4 phillips screws holding the lens to the lamp housing. Remove the lens. • How to remove Tail Light Capsule From Submersible Trailer Taillights
If you have a newer model Wesbar Submersible Low Profile Trailer Tail Light, item # 403076, there are screws on the inside of the housing securing the clear capsule to the light housing. Removing these screws will allow you to remove the clear capsule cover and replace the bulbs. When the clear capsule is replaced an o-ring seals the bulb. • Trailer Lights Not Working on Metal Craft Crestliner Boat Trailer
