Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at fender clearance and side marker light. Now this one is for the driver's side of your trailer. The combination side marker light and clearance light installs on your trailer's fender. It features a sealed, waterproof construction, and it contains a total of two LEDs, that's one LED per side. Now, LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer, they burn brighter and they're much more efficient.
You don't have to worry about replacing bulbs or worry about burnt out filaments with LED systems.As you can see on this side we have the amber lens, and on this side we have the red lens. The red lens always faces the back of the trailer, amber always faces the front of the trailer. The base is black in color. It's constructed of a durable plastic construction, and it features a two wire design. Yellow wire is for our ground, red wire is for power, and it does have a channel down here to run the wiring.
That you can still maintain a flush mount design.Again this is designed for the driver's side of your trailer. Taking a look at the overall dimensions of the unit starting with the overall width, measuring edge to edge going this direction is 2 1/8 inches wide. Overall length from very front to very back is 6 1/4 inches long, and the overall height is 3/4 of an inch. That's how far it sticks up off the installation surface.When it comes to mounting, these mount holes right here are separated on center by 1 1/16 of an inch and have a diameter of 1/4 inch. These mount holes right here are separated on center by 7/8 of an inch, and will accept 1/8 inch diameter hardware.
Mounting hardware not included.We're going to go hook it up to power, that way you can see what it looks like with some power running to it, and then we'll also be able to turn off our overhead lights so you can see it in a low light setting. Again, the red wire is our power wire, yellow wire is our ground wire.So you can see here it sends out a really nice, consistent signal. Again we have the amber lens and the red lens, so a two LED system. And again this is designed to mount on the fender of the driver's side of your trailer.That's going to do it for today's look at the fender clearance and side marker light.
