The 12V DC fan gives you four speed options so you can move air out fast or keep it gentle and quiet at night. It pushes up to 900 CFM and even works in ceiling fan mode when the vent is closed to circulate air inside. The sealed, fuse-protected motor stays protected from dust and moisture, so it keeps running smoothly for the long haul.
The smoke-colored dome is made from high-density polypropylene that’s tough enough to handle sun and wind. It seals tight with a rubber weather seal to help prevent leaks when closed. The low-profile shape blends into the roof for a clean look while still letting light filter through.
The manual-lift design uses two sturdy arms that keep the dome steady even in strong wind. A hand knob underneath lets you raise or lower it easily—just pull it out, turn to your spot, and lock it in. The twin arms and locking knob make it solid and secure every time.
This vent fits a standard 14" x 14" roof opening and works with roof thicknesses from 2" to 6-1/2". It comes with a white interior trim piece, insulated connectors, and hardware for installation. The molded ABS flange has smooth edges and a built-in rubber seal that helps keep water out once mounted.
Four built-in retainer clips hold the bug screen in place to keep insects and debris out. When it’s time for cleaning, twist the clips and the screen pops right out. It’s quick to remove and reinstall, making maintenance simple.
Not for use above tubs, showers, or range cooking surfaces.

This item is an edition in the living area to aid in removing heat and add window circulation. Bathroom already had the same unit and I've used these before with great success.
Working on building a custom camper and this is just what I needed for a roof fan. Haven't installed it yet, but I did connect it up to a battery just to see how much air it would move. It's very quiet on speeds 1 and 2. 3 and 4 are a little noisier but it can really move a ton of air once its spun up that fast. I was really impressed with what this little fan can do.

Been working great. Weve had our camper out several times and this fan has been an integral part of keeping our space well ventilated.
Love this fan, use it to ventilate my Lance truck camper. Works really good when I'm cooking, etc. Installation was easy. Just make sure you have 12 volt power wires nearby. One of the better upgrades I've installed on my Lance.
The fan works great! Take your time with the install, measure twice cut once. Customer service is great !!
Great fan for the price. Installation was easy. You will spend time removing the old dicor on the roof if you are replacing a fan like we did but it was worth it.

Great still!
Fan works great. It's quiet and improved the air flow in the travel trailer tremendously.
Brfore you couldn't get enough air moving through the trailer to keep it cool without the air conditioner.
The install was easy. It replaced an existing vent and there was 12 volts there already.
MaxxFan works great, helpful install video made it a piece of cake. thanks eTrailer!

Don’t make the same mistake that I did. Buy the fan that has the motorized opening and closing of the lid.
Xcellnt Vent - Installed my vent a yr ago (long story), but only made it operational 10-2018, so I Very much like that it's manual, so i could open/close it without power. Best feature, dual lift arms. Able to drive with the vent open without the lid flapping "Very Stable". A great "Basic" fan vent without all fancy stuff like Rain Sensor, Thermostat, Variable Speed, like my last one that ends up not working after parts are no longer available. 4 speeds is enough. It's Quiet. Lifetime Lid Warranty "Awesome", my last one spider cracked from UV. Only option I'd like to see is "reverse". Doesn't feel like it's moving much air with the lid closed but I have not as yet used it as a ceiling fan to circulate heat. If it does it will be the perfect vent. I will be putting it to that test in the coming months so the jury is still out on that one.
The MaxxFan roof vent arrived much faster than an anticipated. I havent installed it yet so can not comment on performance. etrailer is very easy to order from and great on explaining deatails about the items.

I have ordered several products from trailer and have been very pleased with each. The max air fan works great. It took me a bit to work up the nerve to cut a 14” by 14” hole in the roof of van but no worries, the installation went well.

This fan works great in our camper. I like the smoke colored lid, because it helps keep the bathroom cooler. The fan is strong and pulls out all heat, moisture and odor from the bathroom. I wish we had replaced our old fan sooner, this is a much better product!

A year later, this maxxfan vent is still working perfectly. We have had no troubles. I would definitely recommend.
Nice fit, very powerful, very adjustable, and much quieter than the unit that it replaced. Appears to have an option for a winter cover, based on some additional female sliding holes of some sort? that I know nothing about.

Gregory, Thank you for your review. This Maxxfan includes molded mounting tabs to install a FanMate vent cover. The FanMate part 955003 slips over the molding tabs and clips on to provide superior rain protection.

Overall, I think the fan is a great addition and improvement to my, or any, camper. I installed it in the bathroom to replace the typical small fan vent you get from a manufacturer. I only wish it was able to go in reverse so it could blow in air. This one only pulls out.

Well packaged. Great installation video. Only complaint is that it was delivered 4 days after anticipated date, that isn't shipper's fault. Installation was a snap after I removed all the old sealant, etc.Very pleased with this product.
I havent hooked it up to power yet but the install was easy once I got the hole in the van the right size. I did opt for getting different hardware. I purchased machines screws and bolts, which worked much better than the wood screws the fan came with.
I installed this fan in a home built camper that I filmed while building and posted the entire build on You Tube. The fan has help up perfectly and on low speed it will run a very long time with out recharging the battery. I have built five of these small campers and four of them have been equipped with this fan.
Great instructions. Very nice product. Installed nicely and looks beautiful. You will need to buy the butyl tape to properly install and of course the self leveling roof sealant.

This vent fan helps a lot with keeping my 7x14 cargo trailer cool. Did a lot of modifications with my trailer especially insulating the ceiling and now with this fan makes it better and cooler. The lid is always open to let the heat out because i have the MaxxAir II cover so rain cant get in. Fan runs better with more or bigger airflow from the side vents when all doors are closed so i added the Redline II popup vent and it works great. Fan does not slow down.
Im glad i got this and will be purchasing again when i get another trailer.
