Question:
I have a 6 month old MaxxAir standard roof vent cover over the vendors poor excuse for a vent fan. It works great allowing us to keep the vent open at all 99 of the time. I would like to replace the fan unit with a MaxxAir fan system, manual or powered, and use the current MaxxAir Standard Roof Vent cover. Is that possible ??? or do I need to replace that as well ? p.s. Ideally...I would replace the vent in the bathroom with a simple fan upgrade with the cover that allows for an open vent without fear of rain and the Deluxe model for the other vent in the middle of the trailer. 2026 East to West 2600 KRB model. Thanks Eric

Hello Eric,
Yes, the MaxxFan Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - Manual Lift - 4 Speed - Smoke # MA00A04401K will work great with your existing MaxxAir Standard Roof Vent Cover, so that is a really good option for your bathroom vent.
That fan is made for the standard 14" x 14" roof opening and is designed to work with an external MaxxAir-style vent cover already installed. Since you already have the cover in place and like being able to leave the vent open during rain, you can definitely keep using it with this fan upgrade.
For the bathroom, I actually think this is the ideal setup. You get a huge improvement in airflow over the factory fan, you keep the rain protection you already like, and the manual lift design keeps everything simple and reliable.
For the center vent in the main living area, I would still go with a MaxxFan Deluxe model like # MA00-07500K. That model has the rain cover built right into the fan assembly, so you would remove the existing exterior vent cover at that location and replace the whole unit with the Deluxe fan.
Your 2026 East to West 2600 KRB uses the standard RV roof vent size, so both of these are direct fit upgrades using the existing openings and wiring.
Honestly, your plan makes a lot of sense. Keeping the covered manual fan setup in the bathroom and using the Deluxe model in the main cabin gives you the best combination of airflow, weather protection, and convenience.
What kind of trips are you getting the trailer ready for this year?

Wonderful news ! Thank you SO MUCH !!! Living here in Tucson, the trailer doesn't get winterized or put away for any period of time. We like to take it out once a month. However... we are looking at a cross country trip in the fall. Thanks Kate !!! Eric
