Fantastic company to deal with, which is rare anymore. I am a welder/fabricator and needed this for a job. Fast shipping, I couldn't believe it. It's a great starting point for my extreme goosenecks I weld the reinforcement ring top and bottom and reinforce the latch mechanism which makes them just about indestructible . This is the six one that I've installed they get horribly mistreated and are all working fine

@DavisF Glad to hear it's still working out well for you! If any of that paint starts to fade enough that you have bare metal exposed be sure to cover it with more spray paint to avoid rust taking hold and taking over!

Good quality and stout although, the collar that assists in strengthening lower part of the tube was only welded in three small places around the top and bottom of the collar. I thought it necessary to be welded all the way around so I welded around the complete collar.

I have used this coupler many times the last three have come in awful the bottom plate was not indexed correctly which makes the bottom hole useless. The bottom plate was missing 1/3 of the weld but the drain hole was welded over sharp edges everywhere there was a cut . Ram Trailer products does not take phone calls one email was returned to me it only said try flipping the pin

This is the OEM coupler and outer tube on my new flatbed trailer. I ordered the trailer with the kingpin inner tube. I decided to use a goosenck hitch plate on my fifth wheel rails and this gooseneck coupler during the winter and to have in case a friend needs to use my trailer and doesn’t have a fifth wheel hitch.

I didn’t need the outer tube, but I now have spare set screws, jam nuts and load bearing pin. This was less than some inner tube-only prices.

Only reason I didn’t give five stars is because of the weld splatter that needs to be cleaned up before painting.

How to Use the Ram Gooseneck Coupler Part # GCPN-30008
The Ram Gooseneck Coupler part # GCPN-30008 gets welded on the trailer and then attaches to the gooseneck hitch ball in the bed of your 2017 Ram 3500. You will want to use the adjustment holes on the coupler to try and get the trailer as level to the tow vehicle as possible. Replacement Coupler for Cattle Trailer To Switch From Kingpin to Standard Gooseneck Ball Connection
You are going to need to cut our your current coupler and install one like the Ram Gooseneck Coupler # GCPN-30008. This coupler will be welded in and is rated for up to 30,000lbs of trailer weight. It attaches to your standard 2-5/16" gooseneck hitch ball. The adjustable pin allows for 8" of vertical adjustment should you use different height trucks to tow the trailer.
