Hello, neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at our Gen-Y Viking Gooseneck Coupler, but for your standard 2 5/16 inch hitch ball, rated at 30,000 pounds gross towing weight. Now, folks, this sturdy inner tube here will pair with your existing outer tube on your gooseneck trailer to make a complete coupler for hooking up your trailer to your truck. You do have staggered adjustment holes to accommodate outer tubes with pins in different positions. It's very simple to change that height. You simply take the pin off here, in Gen-Y's case here, it's a little different than your standard cotter pin.
It's got a little squiggly there at the end, so just a little bit harder to come off. That's a good thing. And then you could then adjust the height of that tube inside the collar, and then again, you simply push that pin back down in place whenever you get to the right height that you need. Keep in mind, I'm able to pull it through on these, but obviously when you have the outer tube, it's not gonna go through there all the way. Just wanna point that out.
I was playing with it earlier and I noticed it did that, so, I wanted to point that out. Now, as far as some dimensions. From the bottom lip up to this first hole, I got 9 7/8 inches on center, the next hole was 12 1/2 inches on the center, and then from the bottom to the center of the last hole or the tallest hole, I got 15 1/4 inches on center. It's a four-inch-diameter tube, and from the thickest part of the base, 'cause obviously it's not sitting level here, if it was level, from the thickest part over here, it's a little bit lower than the lip, I got 25 1/2 inches, top to bottom. As you can see, they've got a nice, elegant hammered finish on here.
That's gonna protect it from rust, corrosion, wear and tear and that kinda stuff, and they give you the nice pull rod here with a nice, big handle. That's for reaching over the bed of the truck, and then pull this open like we have it now. It is a rocking or ratcheting kind of open and close. I don't have a gooseneck ball here to show you, but basically, if you had a ball in there, that would then go back in place and latch over the ball automatically. Gross towing weight, again, 30,000 pounds.
The vertical load limit is 8,500 pounds. Folks, that's gonna wrap it up. Just a quick look at our Gen-Y Viking Gooseneck Coupler. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
