This coupler features a simple-to-use latching mechanism known as the eZ-Latch. With this mechanism, hooking up is as easy as dropping the coupler over your trailer hitch ball. The latch does not need to be tugged or manually activated to allow the ball into the coupler socket, nor does it have to be secured in place. Just make sure that the coupler is properly lined up with the ball when you lower it, and the rest is automatic. Disengaging the coupler is just as effortless. Simply lift up the handle and the coupler socket will automatically release its grip on the ball.
The contoured, low-profile design of the latch handle helps protect the coupler from damage by allowing any potential hazards - from debris on the road to your ball mount backing into the coupler - to simply slide over the top. This helps prevent anything from getting under the latch handle and releasing the ball, and it can also limit any damage to the coupler should an impact occur
Unlike most couplers, which have a pin hole on the handle latch, the eZ-Latch coupler features a hole on the side of the coupler itself. Inserting a coupler lock through this hole will keep the latch from lifting, preventing disconnect and theft.
Made of sturdy steel, this coupler features a durable grey powder coat primed paint that is designed to limit rust and corrosion. This finish, which allows for easy welding, has a 500-hour salt spray rating, making the coupler perfect for marine use.
The eZ-Latch's sleek, ergonomically designed handle is constructed of an impact-resistant polymer-nylon-resin compound that provides the flexibility and strength needed to bounce back from a collision. The handle is corrosion-proof, allowing it to withstand whatever the road and the elements dish out.

Demco couplers are the bomb!!
the one I wanted has the metal locking latch like the one in the picture sent me the one with plastic plastic not to happy with it just don't seem safe on a hitch
Building a trailer and needed the hitch part.
Had a welder remove and install the new hitch. I love it because it's so easy to use.
High quality, heavy duty hitch arrived very fast. I love that you can order a replacement latch and I will never have to cut this one off just because the latch wears out. The product arrived in excellent condition. The mobile welder said it’s cheaper to go to a shop versus having a mobile welder come out but I cut the old coupler off before I knew that.

I called and told you that it will not discount by pulling up on the plastic handle. You fell like your going to break the plastic. Your customer service past the buck and sent me to the manufacture. They have done nothing. I have to take a rod and gently beat it up from the bottom to remove the trailer from my F550 truck. If it was not welded to the trailer and the fact I leave it connected to the truck and only remove when loaning the trailer or sending the truck to the dealer for inspections and repairs I would have replaced it. this is the said part all I wanted was to purchase a rebuild kit for it.

This is a great product! Working with a local welding shop to get this attached to my 2017 Airstream trailer. Much better than the OEM coupler.

ETrailer has great customer service. On a time crunch I had to locate a coupler replacement for my Marvel which as been in service since 1999 and was past needing replacement. The staff, in particular Jena when na seers my call for help over the phone and quickly solutioned a Demco which doubled the capacity. The coupler arrived as promised and "on time". This Demco is a far superior improvement and design. Although if is a variance from "original" on our Airstream, it is worth the change. The coupler appears is much more substantial in design and allows adjustment. The fit was perfect angle and welded cleanly and is a great replacement for the Marvel which is marginally sufficient. The ONLY thing to be aware of is the jack hole is further rearward probably will not match your trailer bottom hole as didn't on this install requiring fitting of a fix relocating lower plate

As reviewed initially, the coupler remains a far superior product. My ONLY issue being placement of the tongue jack hole. It is likely there for more forward clearance. Great product and service
This is a great coupler super easy latch and unlatch. If I replace couplers I’ll be replacing with one of these everytime.
The Deco trailer coupler arrived within two days, and the gentleman down at the local welding shop charged me for two hours of labor to install it. It took him about one hour to remove the old coupler, and then another hour to install the new one. Overall, it’s the best coupler design that I have ever seen before because I can simply drop the trailer down onto the hitch ball and it automatically locks and I never have to worry about it popping off ever again like it did with my old coupler.
