Does Demco eZ Latch Style Coupler Have Flimsy Plastic Latch System
Published 12/09/2019 >
Question:
I like everything about this coupler, but I’m a bit skeptical about the durability of the plastic latch. Have there been any returns or complaints based on the latch breaking? Also, is there anyway to repair or replace the latch in the event that it does break?

I can certainly understand how the latch of the Demco 50-Degree A-Frame Trailer Coupler # 12660-97SP might seem easily broken, but it's not made from a cheap plastic that would be brittle and easy to break. It's made from a nylon composite that more closely resembles a hardened rubber which will be very durable and has the unique characteristic of not corroding like metal would.
We've had no customer report back that their latch was broken also.
