This coupler makes hookups fast and easy. Drop it onto the ball and the EZ-Latch snaps into place for a secure fit that gets you hitched and on the road without wasted time or extra work.
The EZ-Latch system makes coupling fast and simple. Just lower the coupler onto the hitch ball, and it automatically locks in place without pulling or holding the latch open. To disconnect, lift the handle to release. The corrosion-resistant handle is made from durable composite material that stands up to weather and heavy use.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this Demco A-Frame Trailer Coupler with jack hole and EZ-Latch System. Now, if you are looking at this coupler, you're dealing with a heavy duty A-frame setup that's designed to be welded directly onto your trailer frame. This is rated for up to 18,000 pounds, so it is built for serious towing. Think equipment trailers, large cargo haulers, or heavy campers.
Now, one of the standout features is the Demco EZ-Latch System. It's a clever design where you don't have to fuss with opening the latch before hitching it up. You're just going to lower the coupler onto a 2 5/16 inch ball, and then it's going to automatically lock in place. So I do have a 2 5/16 inch ball. Let me go ahead and just give you a brief demonstration of how easy this is going to be to use.
So my latch is closed, and I'm just going to drop it over just like that. So as you can see, I'm all latched up. And then when I'm ready to uncouple, I'll just lift the latch up and uncouple. So that's how simple this is going to be. It's going to be very secure, very simple.
And this does meet the SAE J684 safety standards. Now, since this is raw steel, you're gonna weld this on and then once you have this welded on, whether you do it yourself or have it done professionally, you will need to get this coated or it will rust out very quickly, as you probably know. So once you're done welding, once you get this installed into place, you wanna hit it with a good primer and then paint and maybe some other corrosion protection material as well. Giving you some overall measurements. It's kind of tricky to measure this just because of the angles, but the overall length that I came up with was about 14 3/4 inches long.
And the overall width, the widest point, right about 8 1/4 inches wide. The jack hole here in the middle is going to fit a standard 2 1/4 inch round jack. But if you happen to have any other questions, whether it's about this coupler or any of the other items that we carry here at etrailer.com, don't hesitate to reach out to us.
