Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Timken replacement Trailer Wheel Bearing. This is a high quality L44649 tapered roller bearing that's gonna replace an inner or outer bearing for your BTR spindle, or it can also replace an outer bearing for the number 84 spindle. This does use the industry standard number, so you can see we've got that L44649 printed on the side there. So if you see that on the bearing that you're replacing, you can trust it's gonna be a very simple swap out for you.
This is also going to work with the matching races that you see on the screen there. Now, neither one of those races is included with this. This is just the bearing, but it is gonna be compatible with both of those races. So again, another way to identify, make sure that it's gonna work for your setup. And then the third way is going to be to measure the inner diameter.
Make sure it's going to fit your spindle. So you can see here, our inner diameter, we're sitting at 1.063 inches. So if you're not familiar, Timken is one of the most well-known and highly trusted brands in the industry, because their products are engineered with higher quality controls, which ensures tighter tolerances and run outs. And so it is going to be a much higher quality than your standard bearing. So there's gonna be less rattling, less noise.
It's gonna help extend the life of the bearing, as long as you have it properly installed. That higher quality is even evident in the way that this comes individually packaged with an oil coating on it. So it's gonna help resist surface rust, and corrosion, and that sort of thing. So when you get it, it is going to arrive to you in excellent condition, ready to be installed. So if you are looking for a very high quality replacement for your bearing, this is gonna be a great way to go.

We understand your concern regarding the missing country code markings. These bearings were purchased as genuine Timken products directly through Timken in Ohio. We take product authenticity very seriously and have not identified anything indicating these are counterfeit.

The Timken brand of bearings is new to our site and we have not had the chance to photograph them all. We do have bearing kits available. Part number # BK2-100 works for 3500 axles with #84 spindles. Just be sure to make sure that the bearings and seals match what is currently on the trailer. The bearing kits are not made of Timken bearings.
