11" Wide x 7-1/4" tall x 7/8" deep, efficient heat exchanger will prolong the life of your transmission and improve its overall performance. Specifically designed for vehicles with late-model, electronic overdrive transmissions.

Features:

  • Prolongs life of transmission
  • Improves overall performance
  • Prevents heat-related failures
  • Has furnace-brazed aluminum construction and 3/4" wide turbulator plates for more efficient cooling
  • Includes complete mounting kit, OEM spec hose with stainless steel clamps and Insta-dapt radiator adapter
  • Recommended for mid-size cars, trucks and SUVs

Specs:

  • Inlets: 11/32" hose barb
  • Overall dimensions: 11" wide x 7-1/4" tall x 7/8" deep
  • Distance between inlets: 10-1/4"
  • Mounting dimensions: 6-1/8" tall by either 5-1/4" or 6-3/4" wide
  • 1-Year warranty

Note: The Derale Insta-dapt radiator adapter fits most vehicles with 5/16" transmission lines, but not all. In some cases, additional fittings or alteration of the OEM lines or hoses may be required for installation.

One of the more popular cooling systems available, the radiator-style, plate-and-fin heat exchanger provides increased surface area so that fluids can spread out along the finned chambers to cool faster. In addition to the increased surface area, this cooler also features turbulator technology, whereby fluids are agitated continuously, not only to facilitate heat transfer, but also to prevent any undesirable drop in pressure.

  • What Cooler is Best for My 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500 6.0 Engine for Towing a 38' 5th Wheel?
Hello Paul, Definitely a good idea to keep your transmission cooled while pulling a 38' 5th wheel. I found another option that I thought would fit your needs a little better, I went ahead and reached out to my contact at Derale and he agreed. The Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit w/ Fan, -8 AN Inlets - Class V # D15960 is going to be your best fit. You will still need the correct adapters, you will need to double check what kind of fittings your truck has. For your standard...

Yes, I will be happy to help add tow options to your 2007 Honda Odyssey. First you will need Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75270. This hitch has a maximum tongue weight rating up to 675 lbs and gross trailer weight rating up to 4,500 lbs. If the towing capacity in your Odyssey owner's manual is lower that the capacity of this hitch, tow according to the weight limits in your manual. There is no drilling required for installation. Next, you will need 4-way Flat Trailer Connector...

  • Recommended Transmission Cooler For 2011 Chrysler Town And Country
We have a few transmission coolers that are designed to fit your 2010 Chrysler Town And Country. The Derale Transmission Cooler, part # D13502 is a plate-fin cooler that may be just what you are looking for. The biggest concern when installing coolers is the location and whether there is room for the installation. This cooler measures 11 inches wide x 7-1/4 inches tall x 7/8 inch deep. I have attached a drawing that shows the best location to mount a cooler. I have attached links to a...

  • 2014 Toyota Tacoma Transmission Temperature Gauge Kit
Hey Jay, thanks for reaching out! Our transmission coolers are designed to help support a factory cooler as opposed to replacing it altogether, so you won't want to replace it. With that being said, I have a few different options you can look into. You can never cool your transmission coolant too much so adding a cooler is still okay to do, and if you choose to go that route, I recommend using the Derale # D13502. Then for a gauge (so you can keep tabs on the temperature) we have the...

Adding coolers like a power steering fluid cooler and a transmission fluid cooler will help prolong the life of those components. You will want to consider the location for the cooler you install. I have attached a drawing that shows the best locations for mounting the transmission cooler. For your 2008 Honda Odyssey the transmission cooler you referenced, part # D13502 would work well. This is a Class lll cooler and comes with the mounting kit, OEM spec hose along with stainless steel...

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 1997 Honda CRV with Best Cooling and Ease of Installation
I would recommend the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit, item # D13502, for your 1997 Honda CRV. This cooler will be more than adequate for towing the weights you will be towing. You can not cool transmission fluid too much so the larger the cooler is, the better. We have a video installation of this cooler on a 2006 Honda CR-V that will be very similar to the installation on your 1997 model, see link. If you would like a smaller cooler you could go with the Derale Series...

I did some checking and it looks like the Derale Tube-Fin Engine Oil Cooler Kit w/ Adjustable Sandwich Adapter # D15505 will work on your 2004 Ford Escape. From the research I did the threads on the oil filter are 22 x 1.5 mm and the # D15505 comes with that size so it should work very well for you. I attached an FAQ article on oil coolers for you to check out also.

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for 2009 Chevy Impala
A transmission cooler will help prolong the life of any automatic transmission so installing one in your 2009 Chevy Impala would be a great choice. These kits are universal so while it may not have parts that are specific to your vehicle the install is basically the same for all vehicles. I attached an install video that shows a cooler installed on a similar Chevy as yours as well.

Both have an aluminum construction, include all hardware needed, and are Plate-Fin style coolers. This is where the main difference is though. • Best Transmission Cooler for 2020 Toyota Tundra With 5.7L V8 Engine
The best transmission cooler for your 2020 Toyota Tundra with a 5.7L V8 engine is the Derale Series 8000 Transmission Cooler # D13502. The reason this is the best cooler is because the Series 8000 is a plate-and-fin cooler, which means it uses smaller plates that cover more area than other coolers in order to agitate transmission fluid in your Toyota. Because you cannot over-cool fluids, the rule of thumb with transmission coolers is that size matters so the large 11" wide x 7-1/4" tall...

Choosing a large cooler like part # D13502, would be a good choice for your 2013 Ford Explorer, because you cannot over-cool a transmission. • What is Meant by the Different Classes of Transmission Coolers
Transmission and oil coolers are given class designations since we are in the towing business and those who tow are used to seeing class designations on hitches, ball mounts, etc. The idea is to give a general idea of the cooler's capacity, so if your vehicle has a class III hitch then a class III cooler should be fine. However, since coolers are NOT vehicle-specific you can use as large a cooler as you have space to mount it. There are various types of coolers and they can be either...

  • What is Included in Tow Package on a 2008 Toyota Highlander
The features and equipment that constitute an auto maker's OEM "tow package" can vary by vehicle manufacturer, vehicle model and model year. Auto makers may change the elements of a "tow package" for any number of reasons. The best way to determine exactly what your particular Highlander's equipment and capacities are is to contact your local dealership with the VIN number. They can then determine exactly how it is equipped. If you have need for a weight distribution system for your trailer,...

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2005 Honda Pilot
The best way to pick out a transmission cooler for a vehicle like your 2005 Honda Pilot would be to go with the biggest one that will fit the available space the vehicle has in front of the radiator/AC condenser. I would go with the # D13503 over the # D13502 that you referenced as long as you have the room for it. This cooler measures 11W x 8-3/4T x 7/8D Inch. • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2007 Hummer H3
Since the H3 and Canyon/Colorado share the same platform and some of the same engines, it would be safe to use the Canyon as a benchmark for a transmission cooler. I would choose either the # D13504 or part # D13502. If you use the H3 in the winter, the D13504 may require a bit more warm-up time to get the trans fluid warm. Both should help bring your transmission temperatures down. The measurements for both coolers are listed on their pages. Make sure you have enough room to install them...

  • Does Orientation of Transmission Cooler Matter When Being Installed
The Derale Series Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler # D13503 can be installed with the hose fittings in any position that will make the installation easier or look more professional on the vehicle. It does not matter which fitting on the cooler is used for the inlet or outlet. It does not have to face a certain direction to function properly as the fluid will make its way to the other side of the cooler regardless of how it is positioned. There isn't a benefit to mounting it one way or another...
