Heavy trailers and bed loads can make the rear sag and the front rise. The Timbren Suspension Enhancement System adds up to 8,600 lbs of load-leveling support to keep your vehicle level when towing or hauling. The hollow rubber springs mount above the axle to share the weight with your factory suspension, improving stability, braking, and steering while keeping headlights aimed where they should be.
Each Aeon hollow rubber spring cushions bumps and rough terrain by flexing progressively as more weight is added. Under light loads, they allow normal suspension travel for a comfortable ride. As the load increases, the springs stiffen to absorb road shock and prevent bottoming out. This setup reduces wear on your stock suspension and gives a smoother, more controlled feel when the road gets uneven.
Each spring works independently to support its side of the vehicle. This design helps correct off-center loads and cuts down on body roll when cornering or swerving. Whether it’s crosswinds, uneven pavement, or a trailer tugging behind you, the truck stays more level and planted so you can steer with confidence.
No airlines, compressors, or manual adjustments needed. The custom-fit brackets bolt directly to each frame rail above the rear axle with included hardware—no drilling required. Once installed, the springs automatically engage only when needed, giving you support under load without changing how your truck rides when empty.

I really like these Timbren bump stops. I think the best thing about them is the simplicity, both how they work and how easy the install was. I bought these when I added a dump insert (similar to a salt spreader) into my 2019 F-250. I have loaded this truck heavy before with dirt and the truck sagged tremendously and had a lot of body roll. To prevent this with the now added dump insert, I installed these. Super easy to install! Took maybe 30 min. It reduces body roll and seems to improve the ride depending on how loaded the truck is.
One unfortunate consequence to the install is that the Timbrens brought to light that I have a weak leaf spring on my passenger side, which was suspect previously.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase and would buy again!
I placed the set on the truck with a small shim adjustment in less than an hour. They look great. I have not placed a load on the truck or hooked up a trailer yet. I am looking forward to the same.
I have not installed this product yet (the reason for the 4 stars) due to our winter weather and also our 5 th wheel trailer is in storage for the winter. When spring comes around this will be the time to get this product installed and give it a try with the trailer hooked up for a test drive. So far, the product looks like it will be the right fit for my application.
I will update my review in a few months.

Wonderful product, was hoping theses would work so I didn't have to put air bags on truck and they exceeded my expectations.On my 2017 F250 before I installed the Timbren suspension enhancement system, my truck with stock rubber stops sit down over 3inches,but once I installed the Timbren suspension system with the same camper the truck only sit down around an inch or maybe a little less. Since I did this we traded campers with one that weight in just less than 15,000 lbs and the truck didn't change any. The truck sits level,I have no sway,braking comes from all wheels. Each time we travel (at least once or more a month)it's a joy to be to relax and enjoy the ride ,the camping and family
After successfully using air shocks with on board compressor on our 2001 F250 for years, I almost automatically put the same setup on our new 2022 F250. We tow an 11k lbs travel trailer. Then I read reviews on Timbren Suspension Solution & thought, worse case I’ll end up with both solutions. After spending 20 minutes installing Timbren and towing the trailer a few miles, it became obvious I didn’t need air shocks, or anything else. The truck & trailer drive as one. Our rig is level and rides great. When the trailer is unhitched, the Timbren’s aren’t engaged - just a normal F250 ride.
I always had airbags on all my work trucks and didn’t want to install a new airbag system. This was the answer or alternative to airbags. So far it’s working out better than expected.
Install was quick an easy, once I lifted the 'shocks' to make clearance to bolt in the Timbren's.
The ride seemed much smoother when the trailer was on the gooseball.
Rides much smoother towing the 5th whee l.
Haven't had a chance to load it for ride comparison to stock, but installation was super easy. I didn't even have to crawl under the truck or remove wheels for access. I simply reached over the tires, removed stock bump stop and install the Timbren's.
I installed these and have towed our 10,000 pound RV and the bouncing from going over bumps has lessened dramatically. We never had any squat in the truck since it is a 3/4 ton but going over bumps the bounce was severe. Took less than hour to install.
Install was a breeze!Ashleigh was very helpful. Need to take a trip with the camper to actually see how they work!
the Timbren suspension enhancement system was a very easy installation took me less than 1/2 hour to assemble and install.
It is much more substantial than the factory bump stops, which I actually found one of them had cracked and was failing after only 13,000 miles. very happy with the installation of the product and I’m looking forward to towing next week to see how they work in action.
I installed these on my Ford Super Duty as soon as I got them, just in time for a weekend trailer trip. The ride was noticeably smoother but the best part was they were $60 cheaper when ordering on E Trailer than ordering direct from Timbren.
The bolts provided for the rubber to the steel mount are too long to install default base product ordered w/o the shim extensions.
Got it installed after initial shipment was missing a shim. The sales support team promptly took care of it to ship the missing part to my home. These installed in about 30 minutes. I think this design will work out for what I need. I pull a 29' RV trailer with my F-250 SD 4X4 and want to get rid of the squat the truck has when the RV is hitched up.
Works great! Have had them on several types of trucks. Really stops the squat with heavy dump trailers.
I was getting a fair amount of sway pulling my 34' camper with my F250. I added Timbrens and a Hellwig rear sway bar and my issue is resolved. I can't say which one did the most since I installed them at the same time, but the Timbrens have to be significantly contributing to my lack of sway. Bonus, squat is all but eliminated too.
Product stopped the sag in rear with 5th wheel attached. (I have a new 2026 F250 6.7L with 11000 GVWR) installation vehicle would drop 3" from curb height in the rear (king pin weight is 1900 lbs.) after installation the drop was only 1 3/4- 2".
also the Timbren Suspension stopped the big rebounding when going over big bumps in the road. (example:
overpass/bridge approaches, railroad tracks) with the vehicle unloaded only experience slight rougher ride. Not really that noticeable except on roads that are not maintained. To me product was worth the money. Had air bags on the last vehicle this product is better in my opinion.
This product is installed on a Ford F250 Tremor. I bought it so when I hook up my imagine 2500 RL travel trailer it wouldn't sag so much. It works perfect for this and keeps the truck just a little bit rear end high even with the trailer attached. It does seem to make the ride a little more harsh, but it is acceptable. Install process was very easy.
It was sweat less to install on my 2019 F 250. Needed a 15MM and a 17M deep socket for the 15MM. Loaded the trailer and took it for a spin and the Timbren helped the sag. I only have one trailer so Timbren made my decision easy between air bags Ann Timbren.
They work as expected, I have no bucking and the factory suspension has way less stress on it, while still keeping the factory ride. Awesome product!

These are awesome! I tow a 37 Mobile Suites, which are built heavier than most, I put the Timbern on and it smoothed out the ride perfectly, best of all I still have my factory ride when unloaded, which you wont get with air springs.
Start to finish my experience was top notch. The bump stops are also very high quality and very easy to install. Clearly superior to the original Ford bump stops. Christine at etrailer was a superstar to deal with ordering and coordinating everything! Better keep her around!!!
Installed the Timbren TFR250SDJ on my 2025 F-250 Platinum Plus 4WD Short Bed with 6.7 HO Powerstroke. Fit perfectly. It takes a few minutes to get the bags attached to the base. It seems like the bolt is too long but I used a vise to hold the unit while I tightened it down more and cinched the bag to the base. So if it seems it wont get tight enough and is still loose, find a way to secure the base... there's still a few more turns.
Attaching to the truck takes a few minutes to remove the OEM (2 nuts) and a few minutes to install the Timbren SES. I added about 45 minutes by dropping one of the nuts, which I finally found inside the shock absorber bracket!!
I used a hand socket but would recommend air or power tools, if you can get to the nuts, but it can be done manually. Probably took me a few extra minutes with a socket wrench because of limited space, and I'm old!
I have not tested the SES under load yet, but I was really more concerned with the ride unloaded.I ended up with a gap right at 1" between the peg and bottom of the SES. Some reviews said the unloaded ride worsened. So I drove to the nearest small town with horrible streets, bumps, holes, broken concrete, sewer covers 3" below the asphalt, etc. On the highway, the ride was perfect, completely unaffected. On my bad road obstacle course, I thought the ride improved significantly. So I think the system will give a better ride unloaded. It was a little stiffer, less roll, and smoother. It was not "bouncy" or jarring, like some reviews mention. Very smooth and felt beefier on bad roads.
I'll update after I've driven loaded. I tow a 12,000# 2025 Rockwood TT 36' with a ProPride 3P hitch. We put 7,000 miles on it across 15 states this past year, so I've definitely got a "before" baseline using the OEM bumpers.
The ordering process was great. Naomi D had great product knowledge. At first I thought I was talking to my granddaughter, but after putting her through the paces, It felt like I was getting sage advice from my Grandfather. e-Trailer seems to really invest in their customer service reps knowledge base. Also completely satisfied with the order process and delivery. They were able to mail to our PO Box, which seems to be a problem for most (our physical address is a gate on the side of a highway, with cows on the other side).
100% satisfied so far and would recommend both e-trailer and Timbren to a friend. Will update once I've done some towing, but can say the unloaded ride is unaffected or improved for my application. So far, very happy.

The unloaded ride is a concern we hear fairly often with SES upgrades, so your experience with the 1" gap and rough-road testing will be really helpful to others considering these for their F-250. Added these to my F250 Super Duty. I carry a golf cart on a Diamond back bed cover. Can be a little top heavy. Perfect addition to my suspension- greatly reduced the sway.

2022 F250 Super Duty. Super easy to install. I have about 3/4" gap between the spring and the plate. Time will tell how they impact the ride quality and how much sag they mitigate with my 5th wheel hooked up.

Now that its been a year Im very impressed with them. Theres no ride detriment without the 5th wheel attached and they do a great job of mitigating squat
