Question:

I’m looking to put either Timbrens or sumo springs on my 2020 F250, I’m getting a little sag when I laid up my 10,000 lb fifth wheel but the ride is comfortable, I’ve had Timbrens before and they work great but definitely have a stiff ride when towing. Wondering if sumo springs would do the job and have a bit smoother ride when towing? Thanks for any advice

You would indeed get a softer ride using the Sumo Springs # SSR-127-54 as opposed to the Timbren # TFR250SDJ.

The Sumo Springs offer 2800 lbs of support versus the 8600 lbs offered by the Timbren springs. Given that the pin weight of your 5th wheel wouldn't be more than 2000 lbs, the Sumo Springs will be absolutely perfect, providing the proper amount of support with a better ride quality than what you experienced with the Timbrens.
