Are Spacers Required for Installation of Timbren SES On Stock 2025 Ford F-250

Updated 07/04/2026 | Published 06/29/2026

Question:

I have a stock 2025 f250 super duty and I’m looking to buy the timbren bump stops! My only question is should I buy a 1” spacer for each side also or is the bump stops sufficient enough?

Hey Brad! Spacers are only required when you have a lift on your vehicle. Unless you have a trim package that added a lift, you do not need spacers to install the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System # TFR250SDJ.

What are you towing/hauling with your F-250?

I have the timbrens installed on a 2026 f250 with the tremor package and no spacers. You don’t need spacers. You want the timbren to engage only with a load.

The bump stops were sufficient for my setup.

I have a 2026 F250 Fx4 w/11000 GVWR package with the Timbren's Installed. I have 1" of clearance between the bottom of Timbren and bump stop. I would NOT add the 1" spacer. It will make the unloaded ride too harsh. IMO. I tow a 5th wheel with 2000 lb pin weight.
