When your truck is working harder under tow, factory brakes can feel slower to respond. This front brake upgrade kit pairs severe-duty brake pads with heat-managing rotors for strong initial bite and predictable braking through repeated stops.
Adding trailer weight changes how your truck responds when you press the brake pedal, especially during sudden stops or repeated braking. These brake pads use a severe-duty, low-metallic friction formula that delivers a strong initial bite, while the matched rotors use OEM-style vanes to help manage the added heat towing creates. Together they give your truck a more immediate, predictable braking response that stays consistent through repeated stops.
Brake vibration often traces back to uneven rotor machining or inconsistent braking surfaces, especially after repeated heat cycles. The rotors use computer-controlled castings with fly-cut, mill-balanced construction and meet or exceed OE specifications for machining tolerances. A non-directional cross-hatch finish promotes even pad bed-in, helping your brake service start with uniform contact and maintain smooth pedal feel as your truck accumulates miles.
Fresh brake components often need a break-in period before they reach their intended performance. These brake pads use positive mold manufacturing to produce consistent density and precise dimensions, then add a bed-in coating that improves initial pedal feel and shortens the break-in process. Multi-layer vulcanized rubber shims help limit the extra noise commonly associated with high-bite low-metallic pads, so your truck delivers responsive braking without unnecessary chatter.
Road spray, moisture, and winter conditions often leave exposed brake components looking rough long before the friction surface wears out. The G3000 premium raw iron rotors use an OnyxBond matte black coating on the hat, vanes, and edges to help reduce rust on exposed non-friction surfaces. Your brake components stay in better condition between services while continuing to provide the smooth braking performance they were designed to deliver.
Replacing brakes is a job many experienced DIYers can handle, but brakes are one of those projects where being almost right is still wrong. If you would rather leave it to a professional, find an installer near you.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Timbren front-wheeled BES brake upgrade kit. Now this kit has been designed to fit your 2023 to current Ford F250 and F350 Super Duties with the four wheel drive. And on custom fit parts such as this kit, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer. Pop in the year, make, and model of your vehicle, and answer any other questions they might have for you, and our fit guide will confirm if this kit will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you.
Now, upgrading the suspension of your truck can upgrade that ride quality, help reduce sag, and also make your truck feel more stable while you're towing or hauling. But it's not going to reduce the extra workload placed on your factory brakes. So, if you've ever felt like your truck is taking longer to stop when you're towing a trailer or maybe the brakes are wearing out faster than you expected, or maybe that added weight is making your braking and your truck feel less confident, that's where this BES brake upgrade kit is going to come in. This kit is designed to give your truck stronger, more consistent braking when it's carrying those heavier loads. These low metallic onyx bite brake pads are going to give you a strong initial bite and eliminate brake fade that occurs with frequent stopping when towing.
So you're going to notice more confident, consistent braking performance on every road trip. On the back here, we have a multi-layered rubber shim that's going to help stabilize the brake pad during braking. On your screen, I just wanted to give you a closer view of what one of those shims looks like and point out the multi-layered construction there along with the second photo there showing you the brake pad with that shim pulled off. So these shims are going to reduce vibration. It's going to keep brake noise to a minimum without sacrificing braking performance.
So these positive molded brake pads paired with these precision balance rotors are going to promote smooth, even braking, and more consistent pedal feel. Speaking of these rotors, these are OEM-style vented rotors as you can see here. So that's going to help dissipate heat during repeated stops to reduce brake fade when towing. And these are premium G-3000 raw iron rotors, and they feature Timbren's OnyxBond mat black coating on the hat, veins and outer edges. As you know, heat is the primary enemy of brakes.
So this OnyxBond coating has a heat threshold of up to 932 degrees Fahrenheit. So that's going to be about 67% better than the standard GEOMET coating most commonly used on OEM parts. The coating's also going to help protect these rotors from rust caused by road spray, moisture, and winter driving. It's going to help keep your brakes looking cleaner between surfaces without affecting braking performance overall. By the way, these pads, if you notice that blue stripe there, or stripes, that's the bed-in coating that's going to be included here. So, this is going to transfer to your rotor to protect it during the first stop. So you're going to be able to enjoy consistent braking performance sooner after the installation. Speaking of installation, it is pretty straightforward. It includes everything that you see here on my table. But if you think you would like some help with installation on this product page underneath the photos section, we have a link that will take you to our installer locator. Click that link, answer the questions that it has for you, and that locator will find an installer in your area that etrailer has partnered with to help you with the install. So overall, if you've already upgraded the suspension on your truck for that more controlled ride, this brake kit is going to compliment that suspension upgrade by giving your truck the stopping power and the confidence to better handle the extra weight of towing or hauling. So together, it's going to give you a safer, more capable towing setup and experience. I think that's going to wrap up our look today. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
