Heavy loads can drop the rear end and throw your handling off. These SumoSprings Solo helper springs add up to 1,500 lbs of support at 50-percent compression to help keep your ride level when you’re towing or carrying gear. The progressive design means they compress softly for lighter loads and firm up as weight increases, reducing squat and keeping steering and braking more predictable.
Rough roads and heavy cargo can make a truck bounce or sway more than it should. The microcellular urethane springs cushion bumps and absorb shocks so the ride feels smoother and more controlled under load. They act like a built-in shock absorber, cutting down on harsh hits from potholes or uneven pavement while helping your suspension stay composed.
When weight is uneven or a curve pulls hard on one side, each spring works on its own to balance your truck. That independent action helps reduce body roll and sway through turns and keeps control steady when hauling an off-center load. The result is a more planted, confident feel whether you’re on the highway or backing into a campsite.
Once installed, there’s nothing to adjust or inflate—no airlines, tubing, or pressure checks. The closed-cell urethane resists oils, salt, and UV damage and performs in temperatures from -25°F to 200°F. The springs compress vertically with minimal side expansion so they won’t rub nearby parts, and the no-drill design makes installation simple with two jounce-style springs included.

Order process was quick and very easy. Excellent package tracking and they even followed up to make sure my order was received and I had no other concerns! Great prices and fantastic service, who could ask for more. Highly recommend etrailer!
Ordered these for my 19 Silverado 1500 hauling a 8100 lb (empty) 1200 lb tongue at, 37’ travel trailer. No more sag at all. I used the 1” spacer for more preload. I may take that spacer out between hauls as she seemed to ride pretty stiff unhitched. Other than jacking the ass end off the ground it is an easy install. About 20 mins not including jacking. Package arrived on time
Installed on my 2023 Chevrolet 1500 pickup, to provide more support when loaded with my home made cab-over truck camper. I did not use the included spacers, so when unloaded there is essentially no change in the truck rides. When the camper is loaded the springs work well and as advertised. Service was good with prompt shipping, notification and follow up. Would definitely recommend for similar use.
Work as described. Eliminated tail sag. Easy to install.
Great Looking Product that is simple to install.
2021 1500 Silverado Crew 4x4 3.0 Duramax.
Installed yesterday but haven't towed with it yet. I did dive it today about 150 miles and truck rides just as it did before installing the Sumo's.
Hoping it will help level and stabilize our truck while towing our 2020 Flagstaff FKS25. Having the Sumo's 2800 springs installed, in conjunction with our Kurt Equalizing Hitch, we are hoping for a smooth, stable, sway free season.
Only thing I would ask Sumo is " why do you include the extra spacers for standard sprung 1500's. I know that the spacers will be needed for Trail Boss 1500's but why make the rest of us have to pay for the spacers which we may never need? Thinking a separate part number for a Trail Boss application or 1500's with 2" life kits would be in order.
The product was great, however the installation instructions were lacking some details.

Outstanding. Extremely pleased with this product..

My truck now bottoms out anytime someone is riding in the back seat. Very rough ride on a truck that was very smooth with the OEM bump stops.

This sounds like something is not right with this kit. I will email you the warranty number for SuperSprings.
My mechanic recommended SumoSprings for use in beefing up the rear suspension of my Silverado to better handle towing of my new travel trailer. I researched the product specs and consumer reviews and was impressed with what I saw. The SumoSprings were easy to install and I am so very pleased with the performance. I confidently offer my highest recommendation of this product as well as the timely and efficient way eTrailer handled my order.
Since I've installed the SumoSprings my 1500 doesn't sag in the back when I'm towing my trailer. They were very easy to install in less than 45 minutes. It actually wouldn't have taken me that long if I jacked up the passenger side higher. My only knock is the ride isn't as soft when not towing so that is my reason for not giving 5 stars.
I have had these for one year on my Chevy Traill Boss. Absolutely love and wouldn’t hesitate to install again. My truck suspension is softer than other Chevys and I hated the squat when carrying loads, even lighter ones (500lbs). With the sumo springs, it’s not an issue. My truck squats less with 1500lbs in the bed with them than it did with 500lbs without. Ride quality is unaffected. Install was extremely easy. Floor jack and basic hand tools took me 20 minutes max.
Super easy to install on my 2021 trailboss. Haven't towed with them yet do we will see. I added the 1" spacer. May end up taking it out. Only half inch of space.
when I purchased my truck this was the first upgrade I did. Easy to install much bigger than the OEM bump stops. Keeps my truck level while towing my camper.

I would say it is doing what it is supposed to do. No sag. I feel better knowing they are there and know they work.
I put these on to help with towing sag pulling a Travel Trailer. They did help but I did not like the ride made it to ruff when hitting ruff road like pot holes or the bump going on to a bridge. So I took them off and put on a set of Roadmaster active suspension. And I like them much better great ride with them towing and when not towing. So if you want a quick fix at a budget price go with the Sumo Springs if you want a good ride spend the extra and get the RAS.
Works as advertised, easy to install, only downside is the ride empty is a little rough.
Package was delivered when it was supposed to. Install was a piece of cake! I installed the extension on each spring. The ride is exactly what I was looking for. I couldn’t be happier with the choice.
As others have said these things are junk when temperatures get close to freezing, it's like mounting a cinder block to your frame. They claim no difference in ride down to -25 but that's a big lie. They will go in the garbage before next winter. I would give them zero stars if I could.
Not designed for cold weather climates. When temperatures drops below 40 degrees they are hard as a rock. Contacted Sumo Springs they are working with me on a solution.
Went on easy and work geate. Did not change the ride at all.
Top notch customer service. Had a shipping issue due to usps not
Following through as usual. Customer service rep Rachel A. Is awesome, Very responsive and is the reason I will keep me purchasing goods from etrailer
They were somewhat hard to get a hold of a person, but once I did, they were very helpful. Had the item shipped next day, which worked out great. They were very helpful.
I installed this product on a 2020 Silverado 1500 HD crew cab 4x4... TRUCK doesn't sqaut or sag at all with 4,000 # trailer hooked up . Or weight in the bed 1200# ( quad n misc, camping equip. And still delivers an excellent 1/2 ton Chevy ride full or empty . 30 - 45 min install ...
As advertised very easy to install these Sumo Springs on my 21GMC 1500. I only installed the plate not the 1” spacer. I tow an RV and expect the ride to be more balanced and able to carry more “stuff”. Ride after install is still smooth but on larger bumps I can notice stiffness. Very satisfied right now
These springs are amazing! They helped tremendously pulling my landscape trailer with all my mowers. I picked up a tractor impliment that I would normally bring a trailer for, but decided to put these springs to the test. Couldn't believe how good my truck rode and handled with 780lbs at the rear of my bed! These springs have exceeded all expectations.
I will say that I initially put the spacer, but found it effected my ride to much so I pulled it. Afterwards it rides like stock.
Great product, pulling a 20’ equipment trailer loaded at 6400 lbs with 1/2 ton 2023 Chevy PU. Had trouble with truck squatting, no problem now, running almost level. Ride is not effected when empty, it does firm up ride when rolling over ruff terrain to the effect of better control.
I put a set of 47s on my Silverado 1500 and towed my dump trailer that weighed 6000 pounds the way I had it loaded for 50 miles on all kinds of roads and it worked well. I didn’t use the spacers and the truck still rides like it did before the install.
