Question:
How much of a gap should I have between my SumoSprings on my 2021 Chevrolet Silverado and the axle pad?
asked by: Tom W
Expert Reply:
With the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SS45FR or # SS65FR installed on your 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with no additional cargo weight you will see 1/2" of clearance between the spring and your axle pad. This allows for you to have a comfortable ride when you are unloaded.
SumoSprings does include an additional 1" spacer and longer mounting bolts with both kits that will allow you to add preload to your springs if so desired. This comes in handy if you always have additional weight in your bed from a heavy tool box or if you are always towing a trailer with your Silverado.
