Hi Chris, we can definitely get you more rear end support for your 2019 Silverado 1500 RST! There are three options I would recommend and I have them listed below going from Good, to Better, to Best. At least this is the order I would look at them if I were to be going this route. None of these will interfere with the Bilstein shocks you already installed, so that will not be a problem.
Good: SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Rear Axle # SS45FR
These have the easiest install and will will require no maintenance once the install is complete. They offer 1,500 pounds of capacity (at 50% compression) and have a Lifetime Warranty. Not my favorite as they are more of a reactive system, but they definitely work and people swear by them.
Better: RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS4611
These are still a pretty easy install, but are more difficult than the SumoSprings. These require very little maintenance and can be adjusted, but it is a bit involved to do so. Most will set them and forget them, so to say, but if you look at the included instructions it will show how it is done. These offer 2,000 pounds of capacity and also come with a 5-Year Warranty.
Best: Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle # F2609
These will have the most difficult install, but by far the most adjustability. They also offer the highest capacity of 5,000 pounds will at the full 100 PSI and can then be aired down to 5 PSI to basically make them unnoticeable. You also get a Limited Lifetime Warranty on the bag as well as a 2-Year Warranty on the hardware.
Of course, people will argue for any of these being the best, but I am and always have been an air bag guy. I like that they can be easily adjusted to meet the exact needs of your load, even if the load changes, and they have the least amount of an affect on ride when unloaded. I think these are they way to go.
How do you like that Project M Topper Camper? I haven't seen one of these before and it's definitely interesting.
