Hey Allen, thanks for the information. The best SumoSprings for your 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 are going to be the 1,500 lbs capacity item # SS45FR. These fit both the 2WD and 4WD models and replace your factory bump stop.

The SumoSprings item # SS45FR are going to do a great job of keeping the rear end of your Silverado level when you're towing your trailer or even hauling heavy loads in the bed. This is a progressive rate spring that only engages when weight is placed on the rear end. When you're not towing your trailer you won't notice them unless you hit a pot hole or fly over a speed bump.

The 1,500 lbs capacity of the SumoSprings item # SS45FR is going to not only account for your 6,000 lbs trailer's tongue weight but will also help with anything heavy you load up in your bed.

I attached an installation video below so you can see how easy it's going to be to get these helper springs installed.

What kind of trailer do you have?

I have installed the sumosprings model SS45FR on my 2025 Silverado 1500 and found them to be quite helpful keeping the truck more level and helping with some sway. I tow a 6k camper and cuts down quite a bit of up and down rocking on nasty roads. I’ve had them installed for a year and 8 camping trips and they have worked well and held up great.

I love these sumo springs, had them on all my pickup s, bought a new truck and added them the truck , they work really great, I also put them on my travel trailer! WOW WHAT A BIG DIFFERENCE, 20 mph crosswinds and no more white knuckle driving !!

I have them on my 24 Silverado 1500. When combined with 10 ply tires (I have Falken Wildpeaks) it will give you load control with that weight trailer similar to a 3/4 ton truck.
