Question:
I have a 2024 GMC sierra SLT with a X! package 1500. With a towing capacity 11200lbs. I will be towing a 2026 Brinkley travel trailer. A hitch W of 750Ibs, Max W 9600lbs, Empty W 7585lbs. Im wanting to get sumo SS45FR spring or A R.A.S Kit RAS4611. I was looking for some input on which one would be more suited for my vehicle and wear and tear on it. I will be doing local towing of the camper mostly during the summer months near and around the Wisconsin area for about 3 or 4 years. So no mountain driving yet not for a while. Any input would greatly appreciated Thank you!

Hey Bryan, welcome back! My information has the 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 with the X31 trim coming with the progressive-rate mono-leaf spring system. These are fiberglass composite springs that are definitely not going to be compatible with the RAS Kit item # RAS4611.
Regardless of the compatibility issues, I still think the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs item # SS45FR are going to be the best option for your situation. These are a great maintenance free option that do a great job of addressing squat, sway, and bumps on the roads. You're not going to have to adjust them for daily driving either.
The RAS Kit item # RAS4611 would be a better option if you're having extreme sagging issues in the rear end and run into axle rap. This system is manually adjustable for when you're not towing but it's definitely going to firm up your rear suspension.
Does your Sierra have the mono-leaf springs? I attached a picture below so you can compare them to your suspension.

I use these sumo springs on my 2021 Silverado because I regularly tow a 8.5x20 box trailer loaded to a total of about 6000-9000lbs trailer and load. The rear suspension was sagging a bit and the trailer wandered some behind me. These little pads not only prevented the sag but also stopped the sway. Easy to install too. I would highly recommend them.

Yes it looks like they have the Mono leaf springs. So what does that mean? Stick with the Sumo then?
