Features to know about

Stay Level and Confident Under Heavy Loads: Up to 5,000 lbs of Rear Suspension Support

When you’re towing a trailer or hauling a heavy bed load, rear-end sag can throw off your steering and braking. The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs give your suspension up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling support to keep things level and steady. That means predictable handling, safer braking, and even tire wear no matter how much gear you’re carrying.

Fine-Tune Your Ride for Every Trip: Adjustable from 5 psi to 100 psi

Every haul is different, and this setup lets you match your suspension to the job. You can inflate or deflate the air springs from 5 psi to 100 psi to balance ride height and firmness. Run more pressure when you’re loaded to stay level and reduce sway; drop the pressure when unloaded for a smoother ride. Each spring can be inflated separately, so uneven loads stay balanced side to side as well as front to back. Manual inflation valves and air lines come included for easy access at the bumper or other mounting points.

Built Tough to Handle Real Work: Fabric-Reinforced Rubber and Zytel Endcaps

Heavy-duty materials make the difference when you’re relying on air support for serious loads. These double-bellow air bags are made from 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber for strength and flexibility. The endcaps use high-strength Zytel nylon that’s lighter than steel but more corrosion resistant, so you don’t have to worry about rust or air loss over time. Air Lift’s exclusive upper and lower roll plates add extra protection and increase load capacity while extending the life of the springs.

Simplify Installations and Upgrades: Complete Hardware Kit Included

The load support system comes with the brackets, hardware, manual valves, and airline kit needed for installation. Just mount the springs, hook up the lines, inflate them, and hit the road. If you want extra convenience later, you can add an optional compressor system with in-cab gauges (sold separately) to monitor or adjust pressure on the fly. It’s straightforward gear that installs cleanly for dependable performance on every trip.

Took my time and followed included instructions exactly. Went together well! Haven’t towed with them yet, but definitely raised the back of my Tacoma with 26 lbs of air pressure that I tested for leaks with! Feel like they’ll be a big improvement when towing our 4200 lbs. camper!

by:

Very easy step by step instructions, how to install. It took me about two hours in my driveway. I got it because I haul a 35' travel trailer. Makes the ride a whole lot smoother

by:

a very good choice. The F150 did not have enough stock suspension for my 24 foot trailer with a GVER 10,000lb. Now we all know the truck will pull that weight but when you hooked up it squatted. After installing the air lift it does not squat any more and the truck with a 5.0 has enough power to pull the weight. I had Monroe air shocks on it before but they would not do the job. I am very happy with the setup. I replaced the Monroe air shocks with Rancho shock's and the ride is amazing with or with out the trailer. This was a great investment for the long haul.

by:

Watched the install video twice before the shipment got here and had no problems installing it. Also installed the WirelessOne from Airlift at the same time. Picked up some 1/4" clamps to make the air lines look a little cleaner, and hold them in place during our snowy and icy winters. Including the WirelessOne system, it took about 8 hours from the time I washed the underside of the truck until I rolled it back out from the garage. Pulled the camper this morning and all my old issues have disappeared. Truck is level, trailer pulls great, and the cooling system is back to working as needed. Highly recommend this suspension kit!

by:

Im very impressed with these airbags. So far they are doing the job.
These come with all hardware and instructions. I put 20 psi with no load to see how long the air would hold up. 2 weeks later im now at 15 psi which I'm satisfied.
The previous bags of another brand didnt hold air well even with no leaks.
I can tell the difference in ride quality. I've loaded the bed with landscaping materials and towed my boat with 15 psi and still holding strong. Looking forward to towing my Travel Trailer.
Customer service has also been great!

This fit my 2001 Silverado 1500 perfect ly.

by:

Installation directions were good. Just made first trip. Helped out tremendously. Obviously know nothing to the longevity as of yet.

by:

Super easy to install!
Could tell immediate
stability in the truck, haven’t got to hook up to trailer yet, but I can tell it’s gonna worth it! Thank you etrailers for the product and quick delivery!

by:

Installed very easily, I am very happy with my new airbags

by:

Delivered on time. Installation was straight forward and easy remove your wheels and put stands under frame axle will drop down enough to slide airbags in. Attach top mounts then jack up rear end to attach lower mounts. Now I can hook up a trailer and not shine the trees with my headlights. So far very pleased with them.

by:

Installation went well but did need to cut some of the B&W turnover ball hitch bracket for clearance on my 05 Silverado 1500.

by:

Installed in my half ton for pulling my fish house. The air bags made a world of difference. Easy installation as well

  • Recommended Air Bag Kit for a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado With a 6" Lift
Matt, the Air Lift SlamAir Air Helper Springs for Lowered Trucks # AL59202 would work with a stock 1999 Chevrolet Silverado, but since you have a 6" lift it's not going to. Instead, I'd suggest going with the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57272 with the Air Lift Universal Air Spring Spacers for LoadLifter 5000 and 7500XL # AL52460. These springs, paired with the spacers, is going to work with your truck and provide you with up to 5,000 lbs of load leveling capacity....

  • Lift Spacer for AirLift AL57272 Air Helper Springs for 2006 GMC Sierra w/ 6 Inch Rough Country Lift
I spoke with my contact in the Tech Services department at Air Lift, and was told that if your lift is actually 6 inches, you would indeed need the 52465 angled spacers which we offer as part # AL79GV. My Air Lift representative suggested that you confirm that the lift in the rear IS actually 6 inches. Some trucks are equipped with a level lift, which raises the nose of the vehicle by 6 inches and the rear by 4. If that's what you have you'd need the # AL49GV spacer instead.

  • Do Any Air Lift Air Springs for 2006 Chevy Silverado Include Compressor
Compressors are not included with air springs because not everyone wants to use them so they are available separately. For your 2006 Chevy Silverado, if you have a 1500HD or 1500LD the correct part is the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57272. If you have a 2500HD or 3500 the correct part is the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57275. You can then use a compressor that will make it much easier to inflate the air bags, the Air Lift Load Controller II Compressor...

  • Recommended Air Bags for a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 LD
Yes, we do have air helper spring options for a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 LD. I recommend the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs part # AL57272 which is the only available double bellow system. This kit is a direct bolt-on fit with no drilling required for installation. It allows you to adjust the pressure inside each bag for the perfect mix between support and comfort when hauling or towing heavy loads. If the vehicle has been lifted in the rear then you'll need a spacer to account...

  • What Is Needed To Install Air Bags On a 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500 With a 6" Pro Comp Lift Kit?
First Dustin, we need to determine how much lift the rear of your 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has with the 6" Pro Comp lift kit. Some kits will have a full 6" lift which would require the 6" Spacers # AL52460 while others only have a 4" rear lift which levels the truck out front to rear. If you have a 4" rear lift you will need the 4" Spacers # AL52440. Both of these spacer kits will work with the Air Lift Air Bags # AL57272 you found but I recommend checking out the Kit # AL88272. I have the perfect set of airbags for your 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 that will not require you drill into the frame for installation. Depending on where you choose to mount the inflation valves, you may need to drill two small 5/16" holes to run the lines to an access point outside the vehicle. I recommend using the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs part # AL57272 as this is the only true bolt-on airbag kit we have for your vehicle. The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs part # AL57272 for a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 would not require an additional spacer for any lift under two inches per Air Lift. The air bags will be able to compensate for the extra gap between the frame and axle under this amount. That said, I have attached for you below a diagram provided from the manufacturer on measuring for the correct lift spacer. The above Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs has six inch tall air bags.

  • Recommended Air Helper Spring System for 2000 Chevy Sliverado
The 2000 model year was a split model year for GM trucks. Chevy produced two distinct truck models, the C/K series and the Silverado. If you have a 2000 Silverado, the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 system you'd already looked at, part # AL57272 would be an excellent choice.
