Video Transcript for The Low-Down on the Replacement 1/4" Elbow for Air Lift Ride Control Air Helper Springs

Today we're going to take a quick look at the replacement 1/4 inch elbow for airlift ride control air helper springs. This is going to be an important component in our air bag system, this is actually where we push in our 1/4 inch air line. So this is a push to fit connector.Once you push that air line in, you'll feel it go in once and then push a little bit further and it will stop at that second point. That's when we know we have it locked in place. To release it you would just push in this little collar and then release the line there. So if you need to replace one that's just leaking out a little bit that's how you do it there.

And then we'll have our little threads that are covered with some thread sealant on the one side. You want to make sure that you get this tightened down enough to where that thread sealant is fully engaged. Or it's fully in the threads of the bags. This is a direct replacement from air lift, so you know it's going to work with your air lift ride control air helper springs. It does have that 90 degree turn, so we can get it installed properly. But then it does also swivel independent of that little nut collar there.

So we can get it turned to the right angle that we need it to be. So we can connect in our line, and have it going in a nice even swoop. You don't want to have any really sharp edges in your air line, so it doesn't get kinked up.As far as dimensions, just really quickly it's about an inch wide from the outside edge to the front of that connector. And about an inch tall. It does fit that 1/4 inch air line tubing.

And it does come as just a single quantity. And that's going to do it for our look at the replacement 1/4 inch elbow for air lift ride control air helper springs.

Customer service with Etrailer is excellent.
Kimberly
with customer service knows her products and was very helpful with getting the right part first time.
Shipping was great, actually came 3 days early.

by:

Hannah was amazing to help me get ordered what I needed and followed the whole tracking process

by:

Perfect fit for the broken elbow in my air spring.

by:

Etrailer is always very helpful and easy to get a hold of.

by:

Good product. Thanks

I bought these to replace the straight fittings that came with the air bags that I had installed. They work fine, the only issue I had was I had to get a bushing for the fittings to install on the Pac Brake bags. Just a difference in the bag design.

by:

First of all Tanith and William's customer service was awesome! I needed the Airlift items and parts and they had them to my house basically the next day. I pulled my 39 foot Keystone Cougar to Yellowstone and back and the airbags made a huge difference. Before I left town the elbow fitting snapped during the final steps of my install and I needed the part. Tanith got it to me the next day. These folks rock!!!

by:

Two of these elbows came as part of the air bag kit that I ordered. Unfortunately, one of them was damaged and would not hold a good seal on the air hose. I contacted etrailer, and they immediately sent out a replacement at no charge. It worked perfectly. Excellent customer service.

by:

Perfect. No issues with leaks or breaking them.

by:

Much better upgrade to my previously plastic elbows. Expecting this one to outlast the 15 year old airbags by a lifetime

by:

Exactly what I needed to repair my air line for air bag suspension!

by:

This will be the second time I had to replace these elbows because of breakage. I am sure it was not the installation, had it checked twice and everything was good according to the pros. Keeping my fingers crossed.

by:

Item arrived in a timely manner, and as prescribed. Will order from etrailer agsin.

by:

The part works. But still had a small leak someplace in system. Would lose 30 psi in a couple weeks time.

The easiest way to see if you have a leak is to mix a spray bottle with soap and water, then spray the soapy water mix on all of the air bag components with the air bags filled up. If you see any bubbles that is a leak, and you will need replace or fix the leaking component.

by:

Exactly what I was looking for

by:

Old ones would not hold the hose but the new ones fixed the problem.

by:

Excellent product just not what I neede d.

by:

Perfect match

by:

Perfect

  • How to Fix a Leak on a Elbow Valve on an Air Lift Air Bag
To remove the valve on the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs item # AL88338 you will need to remove the air spring from your truck. You can't turn that valve inside the bracket. Once off I recommend using the Replacement 1/4" Elbow for Air Lift Ride Control Air Helper Springs - Qty 1 item # AL21837 in case you have a bad fitting that way you do not have to repeat this process again. I wish there was an easier way but those brackets are built so closely to protect that...

  • Replacement Elbow for Air Bag Systems
To replace the elbow on your Air Lift item # AL88299 kit you will need the Replacement 1/4" Elbow for Air Lift Ride Control Air Helper Springs item # AL21837. The replacement elbow has a 1/4 NPT threaded fitting and the other side has a snap in fitting.

  • Air Bag Inlet Valve Installation Location for Firestone Air Helper Springs on 2021 Nissan Pathfinder
Yes, this is the only way to install the Firestone Air Helper Springs item # F4118. The top of the air helper spring makes contact with the factory bump stop so there is no way to install an air valve. The air bag only limits how much your coil spring compresses when under a heavy load, in the event of an air bag failure your coil spring would still function as normal. I have linked a review video that will demonstrate the function of the air helper springs and the install method. I recommend...

  • Parts Needed To Add a Air Tank And In-Cab Gauge To Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System
If you are planning to use a Air Tank # F9126 with your Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System # AL74000EZ you will need some fittings and air line to get a gauge installed. Between the compressor and manifold on the Air Lift WirelessAIR you will need to install a Air Lift Union Tee # AL21838 so that the air tank will be filled by the compressor directly. From there some Air Lift 1/4" Synflex Air Line # AL73RV will attach from the compressor to the air tank with a 1/4" Elbow # AL21837....

  • Adding 2 Gallon Air Tank to Firestone Air Command F3 Compressor Kit
Air Lift has a 2 gallon air tank part # AL10980 that can be used with your Firestone Air Command F3 Compressor System w/ Wireless Remote and Heavy Duty Compressor # F2590 which is capable of handling the 125 psi you need. A 2 gallon tank like this is a great size as you have plenty of capacity for most uses and it's not so large that it's hard to find a place to mount. To connect the air tube of your kit to the tank you'll need two of the fittings # AL21837.

It sounds like you're looking for the Replacement Elbow Fitting for Air Lift Ride Control Air Helper Springs - 90-Degree - Qty 1 # AL21837, which are the 90 degree elbow fittings used on the # AL89295. There's a chance that if the elbow fitting stripped that the brass fittings on the bags are also damaged; if this is the case you'll have to replace the bag using the Replacement Air Spring for Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate System # AL84293.

Yes, there is another compressor that will work with the stainless lines of the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Springs item # AL88399. The item # AL74000EZ is a great wireless system but if you are wanting something without all its capabilities, I recommend the Air Lift Load Controller Compressor System for Air Helper Springs item # AL25856. This is also a heavy duty dual path air compressor but without the wireless functions. To utilize the nylon lines that come with the air compressor...

  • Troubleshooting Air Bag Helper Springs On a 2010 GMC Sierra 1500 With Air Lines Not Attached
Since your sir supply lines were detached I recommend starting by removing the air springs from your 2010 GMC Sierra 1500. This will allow you to check the condition of the air bag springs to determine if they are even usable. Typically when an air spring is run without any air pressure the spring can fold on itself and become pinched and damaged. It will also allow you to find any manufacturer tags located on the mounting plates. You may also find some numbers stamped into the rubber portion...
