Ellen: Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. And we're going to be taking a quick look at the momentary switch. So basically, this is just going to power an accessory on for just as long as we're holding down the switch. It is a single pole dual throw. So you can either use this for something like a winch to run the line in or out.
So it gives you that option there. Again, it's just going to give that power signal for as long as we're holding it down, as soon as we let up on it and it goes back to neutral, it cuts off the power. So we can take a little closer look at it. This should be a good replacement part for a lot of different applications, not just a winch. Basically anytime you'll need that sort of a momentary signal going from one option to the other. And see, we'll have our three tines back here, our three connections.
So the power to either side and ground in the middle, I believe. It does have a little wiring diagram that comes with it. So it makes it easy to figure out which connection goes where. As far as size goes, it's about seven eighths of an inch wide for the outside edge to outside edge. And then about one and a quarter inch long, maybe just a hair over that. Our cutout size.
It's about a half inch by about three eights of an inch. There are these little tines on either side that are going to provide some tension in that cutout hole. So as you push this in, those will expand into the space. So if you have a closer cut to three quarters of an inch, that's probably better. It could go maybe as wide as seven eights, but somewhere in between there should work pretty well.
Might fit kind of tight in there in a three quarter inch space. But that just means that it's not going to go anywhere. It is made in the USA. As far as the power output for this, the power rating. It's rated at eight amps for a 12 volt AC signal, or half a horsepower at 125 up to 250 volts AC. That's about all there is to it for our look at the momentary switch. I hope this video has been helpful in deciding if this is going to be the right switch for you. If not, we do have a lot of other options available here at atrailer.com. So come over and check them out. Thanks for watching.
