Will Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs Fit 2000 Chevy Silverado with Jounce Bumper Removed
Published 08/16/2023 >
Question:
I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 4 wd. I have removed the 2inch factory spacers at the leaf spring U bolt mounts leaving me with around 5.25inch clearance at the jounce spring mount to the differential pad. Assuming this is where the air bag would mount which air bag will fit my truck? I am wanting to prevent rear sag with my 6,000# car trailer. Thanks

In order to install the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57272 on your 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 you need to remove the jounce bumper so it sounds like you've already taken care of one step of the installation process.
This kit will help with up to 5,000 lbs of weight but just keep in mind that this is how much it can help support, and that it isn't increasing the weight capacity of your truck.
The installation instructions have been linked to this answer page for you to check out.
