This TracVan rack is built for real work. With a 750-lb carrying capacity spread across three 65" crossbars, it handles ladders, lumber, conduit, or pipe without flexing. The internal web structure inside each aluminum bar adds extra rigidity, so you can load up fully without wobble. The fixed, over-cab height gives you plenty of clearance for cargo while keeping things stable and balanced.
The rack is made from 6000-series aluminum, so it’s both strong and light. Aluminum won’t rust, and Thule adds a dual-stage powder coat—first an electrostatic e-coat, then a clear topcoat—for tough protection against scuffs and corrosion. That means the rack keeps looking good even after years of heavy use in rough weather.
Mounting is straightforward and solid. The corner brackets clamp directly onto your van’s rain gutters with J-hooks and torque fasteners—no drilling required. If the gutters curve, the included shims keep all three crossbars perfectly level. Gutter spans are also supplied for strong attachment on G-Series vans. It’s a clean install that’s easy to remove when you need the roof clear.
Each elliptical crossbar is shaped to cut through the wind, reducing drag and noise when you’re on the road. Built-in airfoil trip strips cover the slots to keep air from whistling, so you can drive without that constant hum that open-slot racks usually make.
The slotted 3" wide by 1-1/2" high crossbars accept a wide range of Thule TracRac accessories. Six heavy-duty aluminum load stops come standard—they slide along the slots and tighten in place with a simple twist of the knob. Built-in loops make tie-downs fast and secure, keeping ladders, lumber, or gear locked in exactly where you want them.

Very happy with this roof rack. We have attached an awning and a large Thule roof box without issue.
Disappointed with the Thule company’s policy. We ordered a pair for our van, upon a representatives advice, and after they were installed we realized we needed a third cross bar. They wouldn’t accommodate our situation. We weren’t looking for something free. We needed to buy one single cross bar. And this was after a customer representative told us we would only need to purchase a pair. They did nothing for us.
I’ll never buy Thule again.

Excellent product. I bought a van with these racks over a decade ago and used them hard for over a decade. Ladders, lumber etc. My new van I ordered these racks from Etrailer and got outstanding service in tough times.

I wish they offered a lower profile version. The pedestals seem a little less beefy than what I remember and the finish was already chipped so not expecting a long life with Colorado's mag chloride. But I love how they look!!

Exactly what I was looking for. Easy Install, Sturdy Construction with the best Weight Rating, and as far as ladder racks go, it looks great! I no longer need to carry my ladders inside my van & move them every time I need to load / unload something, plus I can carry huge A-Frames easily!!
