Driving with a roof rack can sometimes mean dealing with constant whistling and vibration, but the WingBar Evo design helps keep things quiet. The aerodynamic shape works with split rubber strips in the top channels to reduce wind noise and vibration while you’re driving. It makes the ride smoother and more enjoyable, even on long highway stretches.
This setup is ready for whatever gear you want to bring along. The bars work with both channel-mount and clamp-on accessories, so you can carry bikes, kayaks, skis, or a rooftop box without needing a separate system. The top channels let you easily slide accessories into place, so switching between setups is quick and simple.
Some racks make you cut rubber strips before mounting gear, but not this one. Its split-strip design lets you slide accessories right into the track without trimming. The strips then close back up around your mounts to help seal against wind and weather. It’s a clean, straightforward setup that saves time and hassle every time you change your loadout.
When you’re hauling heavy gear—whether it’s boats, tents, or lumber—you want bars that hold up under pressure. The aluminum construction keeps things lightweight yet solid, with a weight capacity of 165 lbs. It inspires confidence for long drives with a full load on top, and the black finish looks sharp while standing up to regular outdoor use.
You can add Thule’s One-Key System (sold separately) to secure both the rack and any channel-mounted accessories with one key. It’s an easy way to deter theft when you leave your vehicle parked at a trailhead or campsite overnight.

Not nearly as happy as I was! I love the rack style, and it works OK, but the rubber strips on top are a bad design. Once I had one of the strips fly off while driving, and the wind noise was horrible after that. Luckily, I made a note of where I was, and went back and found the strip on a freeway. This time I GLUED it in, because even though it was properly seated the first time, it came off. Then, the same thing happened on the rear rack! This time I caught it before it blew off. The front one had been driven over by a car or two, so I was going to replace it rather than reuse it - until I found the price of this simple piece of blow away rubber - it was outlandish I think it was $80 for a set - ridiculous at even half that price!. So I ended up gluing them in AND I put an eye bolt on both ends - since it seems to come loose at an end and work its way across. The idea is good, but the captive track is not adequate, and Id rather just take them off - but the wind noise is unbearable, so Im just going to make due.

Hi Michael, thanks for the review! For future reference, you might consider trying a wind fairing to help cut down on noise. These will not get rid of all sound, but they are designed to cut down on noise quite a bit. I hope this helps!

It’s been a year since I purchased and installed these. They’re still holding up and look great. I added a roof rack on top of it using the slots and t-bolts. Definitely worth every penny! You will not be disappointed! ????
