The flush design keeps the crossbars tight to the roofline, giving your setup a sleek, from-the-factory look. The bars don’t stick out past the feet, so everything feels integrated and balanced. With this low-profile setup, you get a clean style and a rack that looks like it belongs there.
A lot of crossbars can hum or whistle when you hit highway speeds, but these keep things nice and quiet. The aero-style shape helps smooth airflow over the top, while the rubber strips in the top channels fill gaps that would otherwise cause noise and vibration. It’s a design that makes long drives more comfortable and less distracting.
This rack is ready for whatever gear you want to bring. The top channels let you slide in channel-mount accessories—no trimming required—and you can also use clamp-on mounts for a wide range of carriers. Whether it’s bikes, watersport gear, snow equipment, or cargo boxes, you’ve got options for every season.
Some racks make you cut rubber strips before you can attach anything. Here, the split strip design saves time and hassle. Just slide your accessory into the track and the strip closes back around it. It seals out the wind and keeps things tidy without any extra steps or trimming.
You can add Thule’s One-Key System (sold separately) to lock both the rack and your channel-mounted gear with a single key. It’s an easy way to deter theft when your vehicle’s parked overnight or at a trailhead, keeping your setup secure wherever your trips take you.

I agree with you that the rack should include the keys however Thule only offers the one lock system separately as part # TH450400 for a 4 pack. They do it this way so that if you have other Thule accessories like a Thule kayak or bike carrier then you can have the option of ordering enough keys to swap them all out to key them the same. For example you can also buy a six part part # TH450600 or an eight pack like part # TH450800.
