Erickson Ratchet Straps - EM31352

  • Manual
  • 6 - 10 Feet Long
  • S-Hooks
  • 0 - 1 Inch Wide
  • 351 - 500 lbs
  • Erickson
  • 4 Straps

The steel ratchet on each of these straps has a built-in Web Clamp. The spring-loaded clamp holds unused webbing in place so it won't tangle or flap in the wind. Vinyl-coated hooks let you anchor the straps to tie-down points. 1,500 lbs Max load.

Features:

  • Tie-down straps let you secure cargo in your truck bed or trailer
  • Spring-loaded Web Clamps hold excess strap neatly in place on ratchet handles
    • Helps prevent unused strap from tangling or flapping in the wind
  • Steel ratchet mechanisms make it easy to tighten down straps and maintain tension on straps
    • Easy-to-grip handles
  • S-hooks have hardened steel cores to ensure that they won't bend or flex
  • Vinyl coating on S-hooks helps prevent scratches on your cargo
  • Sturdy polyester webbing

Specs:

  • Strap dimensions: 1" wide x 10' long
  • Safe working load limit (WLL): 500 lbs
  • Maximum load (break strength): 1,500 lbs
  • Quantity: 4 ratchet straps
  • 90-Day limited warranty

Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

I use these primarily to tie down ATVs on my car hauler. I chose these because they were shorter, and I use about 4 per ATV. These ratchet straps are pretty good. I have noticed that since I bought them, some of them are starting to tear a little bit (at stitching points and in the middle of the strap itself). I'll probably end up buying more since they are cheap, but I wouldn't expect 1 to hold down 500 lbs alone.

by:

Not the best tie down straps I ever used before... You have to manually feed the strap into the ratcheting device; for the first few loops, it can easily slip off. As you get it wound around the ratcheting device, it very easily twists and gets knotted.... Not my favorite tie downs! It worked for what I needed it for, but I wouldn't really want to buy these again.

I use these with my cargo carrier to hold my camping gear down. Went on a recent trip this past winter and drove about 300 miles round trip and had no issues. These held my cooler, ice chest, tent and chairs down so tight they didn't even wiggle. In fact I liked them so much Im buying an extra set for use with my roof box.

by:

This site is awesome. I originally bought my drop hitch and tie downs from here. They are good quality, I just needed some more! Quick easy shipping, and good prices! I'll be back!

by:

Used these for one trip to tie down truck bed load. Good bang for the buck, just remember that these did not cost very many bucks. I do wish there was a way to neatly store these. I was planning to use the original display box - but it got mutilated in shipping (they were shipped with a trailer tire so box was broke but the goods were OK).

by:

Excellent customer service--they helped me find the right carrier for my vehicle. Free shipping and super quick delivery too! I would definitely recommend this company.

by:

Very good product and sturdy.Superb customer service from etrailer and fast shipping .

by:

They are the same tie-downs as you'd find anywhere. The nice feature is the large handle. I just wish that these or any brand would offer an easier release mechanism. All brands have the same awkward release mechanism. Otherwise, the product appears to be typical.

by:

Good product. Aluminium hardware feels good to handle as opposed steel. Arrived a day later than planned. I recommend this product.

by:

This strap was very thin and look similar to the inexpensive Harbor Freight straps. The handles are very well made.

by:

Well built straps and good service from etrailer

by:

Used several times already. Well made, heavier than most others I have. Coated hooks. Good stuff.

by:

Items came exactly as ordered, quick and of good quality. I will use etrailer again as I have in the past.

by:

Awesome straps!

by:

Yes, you can use the Erickson Retractable Tie-Down Anchors # EM01003 in your GMC Sierra 2500. These tie downs also fit Ford and Ram truck stake pockets and offer no-drill installation. These can be used with cargo control items such as Erickson's ratcheting straps # EM31352.

  • Will Erickson Retractable Tie-Down Anchors Fit 2016 Ram 3500 Stake Pockets
The Erickson Retractable Tie-Down Anchors, part # EM01003, are a fit for your 2016 Ram 3500 truck. The package includes 2 tie-down anchors and they have a weight capacity of 1,000-lbs. If you are looking for tie-down straps that will work with these anchors I recommend the Ratchet Tie-Down with Clamps and S-Hooks, part # EM31352. There are 4 1-inch x 10-ft straps included and they have a weight capacity of 500-lbs.

  • Tie Down Recommendation for Securing a Harley to Bed of Truck
I have a much better solution for you, but I would not recommend the Erickson Tie-Down Rope w/ Ratchet # 01801 for securing a Harley to the bed of a truck. Instead I would recommend the Erickson Tie Down Set part # EM31352 that comes with 4 ratcheting straps that would work great for what you are trying to do. I attached a review video for you to check out as well.

  • Tie-Down Straps to Secure Spare Tire on Shelf in Trailer
I'm not sure how long the straps can be for your application exactly but the Bulldog Winch Cam Buckle Straps # BDW20303 measure about 28 inches at their shortest. If the length is short enough to tighten then these will work well because they're tough straps. If they aren't going to work ratchet straps like the Erikson # EM31352 will work just fine for you as well

  • Using PackEm Wheel Tie-Down Kit # PK-WTD for Transporting Lawn Mower
The Pack'Em Wheel Tie-Down Kit # PK-WTD that you referenced includes parts to secure one wheel of a wheeled machine. It comes with two chocks, one strap and the required mounting hardware. If your mower's weight is within the rated capacity for this kit then you may just want to use some other additional cargo control to help hold down the other end of the mower. For instance we offer ratcheting tie downs such as # EM31352 from Erickson. This might be ideal to hold the mower down to the...

  • Reese Eclipse 4 Bike Rack # 63124 Moves Side to Side Several Inches While Driving
Thank you for your recent purchases from etrailer! The Reese Eclipse 4 Bike Rack # 63124 that you selected is a good entry-level 4-bike carrier that fits the 2-inch hitch on your 2014 GMC Acadia. This rack does include an anti-rattle hitch bolt to reduce the movement of rack in hitch receiver but some motion of the loaded rack while you drive is inevitable. There are a few things you can try. Try loading first the heaviest of the 4 bikes. This will help reduce the tendency for the rack...

  • What Capacity of Strap Should be Used to Secure a Motorcycle That Weighs 850 lbs
The load capacity that you will want to take into consideration when choosing a strap is the safe working load limit of the strap. The Erickson Ratcheting Motorcycle Tie-Down Straps, # EM05710, has a working load limit of 400 lbs each. For your situation I would recommend the Erickson Ratcheting Tie-Down Straps, # EM31352. This includes four straps that have a safe working load limit of 500 lbs each. Keep in mind that if you have to wrap the strap around an edge of the trailer, then the...

  • Recommended Ratcheting Tie Down Straps for Curt # 18152 Cargo Carrier
The Erickson # EM34415 might be a little bit of overkill, but the ratcheting mechanisms work very nicely. I especially like the quick release button that works very well. I've always felt that when you are securing your cargo for transport, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a bit of overkill. Each strap has a 400 lb working load limit. If you wanted a less expensive option, try the Erickson # EM31352. This kit includes four 1x10 ratchet straps, and each strap has a 500 lb working...

  • Best Way to Secure 27 x 16-Inch Box for Safe Transport
The best way to secure a box is to use a ratcheting strap like # EM31350 since these straps can tighten down to the exact length you need for the dimensions of your cargo, thanks to their ratcheting mechanism. Unlike bungee cords that stretch these straps are non-elastic which means that they will hold your carton more securely than any bungee cord can. We also offer handy sets like # EM05710 (a set of 2) and # EM31352 (a set of 4) if you need more than one.

  • Can a Trailer hitch Mount Cargo Carrier be Used at the Back of a 5th Wheel Trailer for Generator
I do have a solution for you but our contacts over at Pro Series have recently told us that the cargo carriers they manufacture, including # 63153, are not rated for use behind a 5th wheel trailer. Curt has carriers that can be used on the back of a RV like the # C18152. There is much more movement at the back of your 5th wheel trailer than on a vehicle so you will want to make the carrier as stable as possible using the built-in anti-rattle device. I also strongly recommend using straps...

Your 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue can be equipped with 1-1/4-inch hitch of either a Class I or a Class II rating. In order to use a wheelchair carrier your hitch will have to be a Class II type. A Class I hitch will not likely have the capacity to handle the weight of the chair and the carrier. The weight of both together must remain within the hitch's and the car's tongue weight (TW) limit. There will be a sticker on your hitch to indicate its class rating and tongue weight capacity. The...

  • Recommended Tie-Down Straps for Eagle Boat Trailer & 2015 Alumacraft Competitor 165 Sport
Trailer cargo control tie-down straps should always be selected based on their working load limit (WLL), which is one-third of their actual break strength. You never want to exceed a strap's safe WLL in any application. CargoBuckle Cargo Tie Downs # IMF103745 have a WLL of 466-lbs each. If one of these failed in your 2-strap set-up then I recommend adding more straps to better distribute the overall load. I recommend using four straps. You could use two sets of the Erickson Re-Tractable...

  • Can a Trailer Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier be Used on the Back of a 5th Wheel Trailer
A trailer hitch mounted cargo carrier can be used on the back of a 5th wheel trailer. But you must keep in mind that there is significantly more bouncing at the back of the trailer. Because of this I recommend some extra precautions to secure the carrier and cargo. First, I recommend the use of an anti-rattle device such as the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch, # RM-061. This device will hold the carrier shank tight against the inside of the receiver to eliminate movement. I have included a link...

Yes, the Extang CargoCleats Truck Bed Tie-Down Anchors, # EX1932, will fit on your 2006 Dodge Dakota. These clamps were designed to fit most trucks that have a lip at the top of the truck bed side wall, which your Dakota should have. • Kayak Carriers to Hold 2 Kayaks Vertically on a Pole on a Modified Boat Trailer
The Swagman Tajo Wall Mounted Kayak Storage System, # S65146, and similar items are not rated for use on a trailer so I cannot say how well they would perform since they are not designed for the stresses of this application. I recommend using a set of J-style carriers, # S65148, to cradle the kayaks and then probably some additional ratchet straps, # EM31352, to hold it all in place.
