Provider Radials

Provider radials are constructed with double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Provider radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.

Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires

Radial tire vs bias tire graphic

Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Tire Is exactly what I expected. It'll work great for my 24" enclosed trailer. Quick delivery a plus in my book. I also order some dust caps with the rubber centers for ease of greasing the shell bearings, doing so also provided me with free shipping . Thanks 415028

Review from a similar Provider Radial in Trailer Tires and Wheels

I ordered 5 of these 14 ply G rated tires for my 28' enclosed autohauler trailer because I had one of my current E rated tires go flat and another on the same side blow out on my last trip. This is the same problem I have had on my 43' Toyhauler where I have had 4 blowouts with extensive damage to the side of my rig. After much research and reading reviews I decided to go with G rated tires instead of the Es that came with my trailer and RV. These support much more weight per tire than the E tires. After researching eTrailer had the best prices, free and very fast shipping, and the reviews for this particular tire when I purchased 7 of them for my RV was 122 out of 122, 5 stars! These tires are flat on top and very heavy duty! Just the difference I can see with the weight and tread are far superior to any E rated rounded tread tire. I highly recommend that anyone purchasing an RV or heavy duty trailer either insist on G rated tires before purchase or change them ASAP after your pruchase. Read the reviews and trust my own experience when I say YOU WILL HAVE A BLOWOUT...it is a matter of time and it WILL NOT be a convienient time, and you WILL most likely encounter damage to your investment! The only thing I forgot to order this time with my 5 new G rated tires is metal valve stems. These tires require 110 psi rather than 80 psi so you MUST HAVE the metal valve stems. It was a pain for me to find them in my local area when I could have just pruchased them from eTrailer like I did the last time for my RV. I am a happy customer of eTrailer and highly recommend thier products...and no they are not paying me to say that! LOL. 560881

Tires arrived fast. These tires are an upgrate to my previous load range C tires. I like the 81 M.P.H. speed rating for long hauls on the interstate. These tires will be used on a carhauler. I have used these tires for a year and they have held up well. 478834

After multiple blowouts using E range tires I decided to try these G range tires out. Have not installed them yet, but these are beefy tires and look much better than anything I’ve bought before. Went ahead and bought the metal valve stems with the tires. Can’t wait to get on the road with these. 573409

Comments
The primary cause of premature tire failure is excessive heat build-up. The main causes of excess heat are overloading the tire, exceeding the tires speed rating and improperly inflating the tire. Each tire has a 4,080 lbs capacity if used as a single or 3,640 lbs if used as a dual. The tire carries an M speed rating, good for up to 81 mph and the tire should always be kept to its maximum

Review from a similar Provider Radial in Trailer Tires and Wheels

I chose the Taskmaster ST radial tire for its speed rating, ride quality and highway handling. The ratings I read placed it a close second to the Maxxis ST radial which I consider the best ST radial. The Taskmaster is priced so attractively I couldn't pass it up. Along with the tires I purchased new Dexstar wheels which were a direct replacement for the wheels on my trailer. The old wheels had weathered from the Az sun and had many miles on them. The great price e-trailer offers these wheels for made my decision an easy one. I chose the Provider tire and silver mod wheel combination for my spare setup. The provider tire is nearly identical to the Taskmaster and the mod wheel it came mounted on is also very similar to the Dexstar wheel I purchased. This is a quality setup at a great price. My overall experience at e-trailer was exceptional. Great prices, rapid, properly packaged shipping with outstanding follow up and customer service. I highly recommend this company! 172335

The Taskmaster tires are the best trailer tires Ive ever used. The ride quality as far better than any bias ply trailer tire and the traction is better due to tire design. I also feel a lot better about running 65 MPH on these tires. Ill buy them again!

Review from a similar Provider Radial in Trailer Tires and Wheels

After wearing out two sets of light duty tires I decided to go with the 14 ply Providers. We got 6 & 7000 miles out of the first two sets, stock and a set of Goodyear Endurance. The Providers have got over 4000 miles and you can’t see any wear at all. Plus the stiffer sidewall let it sway much less. We really like them. Recommend them to anyone wanting better load capacity and handling. 717803

After 2 1/2 years of painful experience with a prominent brand of tires on our fifth wheel, torn up sides and skirts and having to change tires on Interstate Highways... If you have a 2012-2013 Keystone Montana or similar, you no doubt know which piece of garbage I am talking about. (Does Marathon ring any bell?) Having gone through 5 of 8 tires in 2 years, I bought 4 of these G rated Taskmaster Providers for our fifth wheel. In my case I had 6 inch wheels, so we also went to 6.5 inch wheels as specified by the tire specs. Had them balanced and there are now 5,000+ miles on them, performing flawlessly and tread looks like new. This is the solution, folks! 414368

Have yet to put any significant miles on them, but overall am very pleased with my purchase. They are a very sturdy, well made tire with a great tread pattern. Had no issue mounting them on my trailers current rims, even though the last set of tires were 205's. Looking forward to many happy and incident free miles with these. 322846

These have performed flawlessly. I have blown many a tire on my trailers, some new and only a few months old. These are Currently on Forest River Wildcat MAXX 5th wheel. I have used these a year and no problem. Here in the West the Temps are above 100 degrees and speed limits of 75 mph. I you have repeatedly blown tires think about speed rating. My old tires would come apart at highway speeds. These are rated at 81 mph. Easy math, speed limit 70 mph pass a truck and you will exceed 80 mph easy. I recommend these to anyone who is driving on highways with speeds above 65 mph. 707797

Review from a similar Provider Radial in Trailer Tires and Wheels

I mounted and (static mode) balanced 4 of these for my RV. The sidewalls and the beads are very thick. I put 105 psi in them. I was worried about a rough ride but they actually pulled very smooth. Not on thing shook loose over 2200 miles. The tires stayed cool. When I set my breaks up I dropped my gain back 7.5 to 7.0. These tires slid slightly at about 5 mph with 12000# on them. The OEM tires seemed softer @ 80 psi and I figured this is what prompted the adjustment. If you plan to dynamically balance them,be ready to part with some weights. Like any big heavy duty tire, the side walls tend to have heavier heavy spots. I’ve learned that good balancing on highway tires saves interior, suspension components, light bulbs, welds, bearings and tires. I’ll report back in a few thousand miles. We will see how they do in this Louisiana heat. 619888

We have put over 7000 miles on the tires. Very little wear. It is pretty amazing how well they hold air. The temps run very low on the road. So far, so good.

Very pleased with my purchase. This tire is perfect for my boat trailer, since I have a 20 ft. Deep V double haul boat that came with a single axle trailer. I have had two blow outs on my other 6 ply tires. I received them last night, I even received a email from George at etrailer telling me that my tires had been delivered. I had them installed today and plan on taking the boat out for a run. With a single axle trailer, I'm so happy with the D load rating. I will purchase more soon for my RV Trailer. Thanks, George and Tori B 275152

  • Recommended Replacement 215/75r/17.5 Tires for Horse Trailer
I recommend going with the Provider 215/75R17.5 Radial Trailer Tire # TTWP15175 as it is the best tire we have in that size. The Provider uses a better siping pattern than the other options so that you get the best traction whether it is wet or dry on the road, it has a max weight rating of 4,805 lbs at 123 psi for a single tire, and then has a max speed rating of 81 mph so you don't have to worry about going too fast at highway speeds and your tires heating up too much. • How Important is Speed Rating on Trailer Tire
Westlake and Taskmaster trailer tires actually aren't made under the same manufacturer, however a tire's specific speed rating is determined by a number of factors including construction, ply rating, testing, etc. The primary cause for trailer tire failure is excessive heat, and exceeding a tire's maximum speed to can lead to this. Because of this it is extremely important to adhere to the speed limit on your particular Westlake tire. The manufacturer has deemed through testing that...
