Provider Radials

Provider radials are constructed with double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Provider radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.

Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires

Radial tire vs bias tire graphic

Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Review from a similar Provider Radial in Trailer Tires and Wheels

I was not aware the original nylon ply tires on my teardrop camping trailer were speed-rated at only 65 mph. Had a blowout. Did research and bought 3 Radial tires from etrailer.com...2 polyester ply with 2 steel belt ply and speed-rated at 81 mph. Radial Trailer-only tires run cooler than rigid wall tires. I had my local Firestone shop mount and balance all 3 tires (single axle and spare.) Smoothed out the tow a lot. Highly recommend etrailer.com. Ask for Ashley E. Very professional and helpful customer service.

Review from a similar Provider Radial in Trailer Tires and Wheels

Very happy with these tires from etrailer.com. I'm in construction and use them on my 16 ft. utility trailer and they r on the road working nearly ever day on the year just like me and the rest of the crew. They are wearing well after one year and I'm ready to purchase a set for the other side. I got this pair after a blow out on the freeway. My pictures will show I lost tread on the rear tire that took off my entire fender. Replacing it be my next purchase. I certainly recommend them to everyone I know. Etrailers service, pricing and professionalism will keep me returning to their site. I have purchased running lights and a few other items for my trailer from these folks. For me it so much easier to have all u need at one site why go anywhere else. Most online companies have figured out fast delivery and etrailer on it. I click...it comes to my door.

Comments
Since I had wrote an earlier review the trailer in shown was rear ended at a high speed and was totaled. The good news is these tires were running great so I pulled them off and installed them on another trailer. There still have plenty of tread and are still in service. I recommended etrailer and these tries a year ago and still recommended them now. Thanks etrailer. Good job.

Review from a similar Provider Radial in Trailer Tires and Wheels

I am very pleased with the Provider ST225/75R15 radial tires purchased from etrailer. They were ordered on 1/7/19 and amazingly delivered on 1/8/19. I just had the bearings repacked and the tires mounted on my 2017 Venture Sonic Lite. The ride is extremely smooth. I am looking forward to getting out on the highway for the first trip of the year! Thanks, etrailer, for selling quality tires at a great price!

Comments
Throughout the first year of traveling with the Provider ST22575R15 mounted on my travel trailer, I have been impressed with the performance of the tires in wet or dry road conditions and the lack of tread wear. When the time finally comes to get new tires, I will once again purchase the Providers.

Bought 3 of these tires for my 8 foot utility trailer that I use to haul my motorcycles and anything else. I have the older triangle style rims that use the old 205/70 style of tires. The newer 205/75 fit just great on my 15" x 6" rims. Can't wait to go on my next long trip with the trailer and the new tires.

Comments
I am still using the same tires I purchased over a year ago. They are working great and dont show signs of needing replacement anytime soon. I should go measure the tread depth and see where they are at. I use the trailer on a weekend basis so they are still plenty good.

No problems with this tire. The Kenda tire I just ordered two months ago, however, has two pinholes in the sidewall. Should have checked immediately after installing as now I have to go through manufacturer.

Review from a similar Provider Radial in Trailer Tires and Wheels

This order took about 5 months to get because the item was out of stock and was back ordered. etrailer staff was very cooperative when I called to get the current status of my order. The tire was a replacement for another one that was damaged in a mechanical breakdown. I traveled about 4,000 miles so far on these tires and they don't show any signs of wear. They are mounted on my fifth wheel with a 16,000 lb capacity and are performing perfectly.

I have these on a 5th wheel camper and on a 10 ton trailer. I love them. I put about 8,000 miles on the 5th wheel and see no sign of wear. The 10 ton trailer has been at max weight alot and have had no issues. I will be taking off my Goodyear's on my boat soon and replacing them with the providers too.

Review from a similar Provider Radial in Trailer Tires and Wheels

I ordered 5 of these 14 ply G rated tires for my 28' enclosed autohauler trailer because I had one of my current E rated tires go flat and another on the same side blow out on my last trip. This is the same problem I have had on my 43' Toyhauler where I have had 4 blowouts with extensive damage to the side of my rig.
After much research and reading reviews I decided to go with G rated tires instead of the Es that came with my trailer and RV. These support much more weight per tire than the E tires. After researching eTrailer had the best prices, free and very fast shipping, and the reviews for this particular tire when I purchased 7 of them for my RV was 122 out of 122, 5 stars! These tires are flat on top and very heavy duty! Just the difference I can see with the weight and tread are far superior to any E rated rounded tread tire. I highly recommend that anyone purchasing an RV or heavy duty trailer either insist on G rated tires before purchase or change them ASAP after your pruchase. Read the reviews and trust my own experience when I say YOU WILL HAVE A BLOWOUT...it is a matter of time and it WILL NOT be a convienient time, and you WILL most likely encounter damage to your investment!
The only thing I forgot to order this time with my 5 new G rated tires is metal valve stems. These tires require 110 psi rather than 80 psi so you MUST HAVE the metal valve stems. It was a pain for me to find them in my local area when I could have just pruchased them from eTrailer like I did the last time for my RV.
I am a happy customer of eTrailer and highly recommend thier products...and no they are not paying me to say that! LOL.

  • High Capacity 225/75-17.5 Tire for a 3-Horse Trailer with Living Quarters
What size tire do you need? Are the axles single or dual wheel? If you need size 215/75-17.5 then tire # TTWP15175 has the highest capacity. On single wheel axles it is rated for 4,805 pounds at 123 psi. On dual wheel axles it is rated for 4,540 pounds at 123 psi. If the axles are single wheel (4 tires total) then the maximum capacity would be 19,220 pounds. But if the axles are dual wheel (8 tires) then the maximum capacity of the tires would be 36,320 pounds.

The 8.25-15 tire would have an 8-1/4 inch width and a diameter around 28-1/2 inches. The closest tire size we have to that in a 17.5 is 215/75R17.5 like the part # TTWP15175 which has an outer diameter when inflated of 30.2 inches. This would make your trailer sit .85 inch taller than it currently does.

  • How Important is Speed Rating on Trailer Tire
Westlake and Taskmaster trailer tires actually aren't made under the same manufacturer, however a tire's specific speed rating is determined by a number of factors including construction, ply rating, testing, etc. The primary cause for trailer tire failure is excessive heat, and exceeding a tire's maximum speed to can lead to this. Because of this it is extremely important to adhere to the speed limit on your particular Westlake tire. The manufacturer has deemed through testing that the...

Yes you can; if you want to change the 215/75R17.5 tires on just the front axle of your tandem axle trailer you can without issue. The absolute ideal would be to change all four at the same time for perfect, even wear across the tires, but it isn't necessary so long as the tires on the rear axle are in good shape. In fact, if you are going to change tires on one of the axles, you would want it on the front axle, as that is the one that bears the most most. And we do have a really good...
