Erickson Ratchet Straps - 34413

  • 351 - 500 lbs
  • Erickson
  • 0 - 1 Inch Wide
  • 2 Straps
  • Trailer

Durable tie-down straps pair quick-release action with a retractable design for easy loading and unloading. Any unused strap automatically retracts into the housing, and you can quickly release each strap by pushing a button. 1,500 lbs Max load.

Features:

  • Tie-downs let you secure cargo in your truck bed or trailer
  • Retractable straps automatically wind up into the built-in housings with the push of a button
    • Keeps excess strap from tangling or flapping in the wind
  • Ratchet mechanisms make it easy to tighten down straps and maintain tension on straps
    • Handles are easy to grip
  • Push buttons on ratchets quickly and easily release straps when you're ready to unload
  • Zinc-coated steel bodies are corrosion resistant
  • S-hooks have hardened steel cores to ensure that they won't bend or flex
  • Vinyl coating on S-hooks helps prevent scratches on your cargo

Specs:

  • Strap dimensions: 1" wide x 6' long
  • Safe working load limit (WLL): 500 lbs
  • Maximum load (break strength): 1,500 lbs
  • Diameter of plastic-coated S-hooks: 23/64"
  • Quantity: 2 ratchet straps

Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Product was easy to open , ratchet closed, and seems very workable for my purpose , which was to hold my kayak upon my trailer. I think it will all work well, since I did not need any heavy duty type of tiedowns.

Comments
Peter Creager update: They turned into a piece of crap. One got stuck, had to cut the nylon in half in order to free up my kayak. Something inside must of broke. The other one is working fine so far. I would of never ordered this type. I would of paid more money and got a better product.

Have not used it yet to move utility trailer. Parts seem very sturdy and heavy duty steel. Instruction sheet for assembly is pictorial. Easy enough to put together but instructions would benefit by id'ing which of the length bolts go with certain assembly parts. E-trailer service and delivery was exceptional. I will not hesitate to recommend them to others. Numerous contacts via email to let me know status of order and who to call if I was not happy. Fast delivery. Good job guys.

I am very pleased with both products. I use the tie downs about once a week and they still operate like new. The hitch lifter has been a God send for me moving a folding trailer that weighs about 400 lb. I am 66 with rods in my back and can move the trailer, even uphill on grade with one hand.

I use these buckledowns to secure my tractor to its trailer. I volunteer snow plow a walking rail-to-trail in my town of Avon, CT. They are ridiculously simple to use and very suited to the purpose of preventing the 1,500 lb. tractor from sliding around on the slippery/icy trailer bed.

Comments
They continue to perform as needed. No complaints.

These are pretty slick I have five tie downs tangled in the back of my truck at all times. I will probably use them on my motorcycle lift table They are slick I do worry about how the elements will treat them (back of the truck) I don't use ratchet types much but this solves all the problems that ratchets have

I bought for my hubby to use to tie down his Mid Size Polaris UTV to the trailer and not have the extra piece of the straps blow in the wind. He hasn't used them as intended (deer season is over -- I bought them too late) but he has played with them and so far he is totally impressed with what he sees.

This is not the first time I have purchased these same type of straps and must say I would recommend these to anyone who would like to do it right the first time, store them in a safe place and keep them clean then you will be able to count on them always, thanks for a great item at a fair price,

- 34413
by:

Product is exactly as advertised. It does a fine job of tying down a 4-wheeler or motor-bike less the hassle of the straps flailing in the wind. Compact and easily stored between uses. The value of the self-contained webbing exceeds the extra cost of retraction.

- 34413
by:

I just recieved these straps to secure my new jet ski on the trailer. They were just what I was looking for, the way they hold tight and no loose strap, and I'm very satisfied as I have been with other products I have purchased from Etrailer.com. Definately recomend.

No tolerance for any dust or dirt! These do not release effectively if they have been exposed to any dust. I love the concept and really wish they worked well but almost every time I use them I have trouble with at least one of them not realeasing effectively until I force them to release. Several reviewers commented on this and I should have taken their reviews more seriously. Wouldn't buy them again.

  • Cargo Tie Down Strap Recommendations For a 6,600 Pound Tractor
When selecting straps and tie downs, you will want to look at the maximum load strength and the safe working load limit. A strap like # EM69627 has a break strength of 10,000 pounds but a safe working load limit of 3,300 pounds. Using 2 of these minimum would equal out to 6,600 pounds. Because the weight of a tractor can depend on the level of the fluids and things like mud getting stuck to it, I would actually look at a higher rated strap like # 58514. This strap has a safe working...

I pulled one of these from our warehouse and measured the length when the straps are fully retracted. They measure 12-3/4 inches from the end of one s-hook to the end of the other s-hook. If space is a concern the strap can be folded, putting the s-hooks under the ratchet. The measurement with the s-hooks folded under the ratchet is approximately 5-1/2 inches. This retractable ratchet has a working load limit (WLL) of 500 lbs. If you will be working with a load greater than 500 lbs,...
