Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a brief look at the CE Smith stainless steel U-bolt. Now, this heavy-duty, multipurpose U-bolt is intended for use on trailers to help secure brackets, mounts, and cargo to your trailer's frame. And this is made in the USA of a stainless steel construction, making it sturdy and resistant to corrosion, making it ideal for marine applications. So, with this U-bolt, you are gonna get two washers and two nylon lock nuts.
And again, just one U-bolt. And let me give you some dimensions here. I'm gonna be measuring the inside dimensions. So, beginning with the length, we are sitting at four inches long. And looking at that inside width, we're sitting right at 2 1/8 inches wide.
And the diameter is going to be 7/16 of an inch. And measuring the threaded section, the threaded section is right at two inches long. And there are 14 threads per inch. And it is important to note that you should apply grease to the threads before assembling the stainless steel hardware to reduce the risk of nut seizure. Well, that's going to conclude our brief look today.

I live in rural Hawaii and my complete boat trailer axle down to tires was delivered within a week of order with reasonable shipping charges.. Local place gave me runaround 3x already. This saved me. Now I can go fishing again!
Dimensions and sizing can be difficult, even if you are used to these things but trailer makes it super ez.. With videos and detailed things. Thank you, I will definitely do business again!!!

Didn't realize that I had ordered stainless u bolts. The nuts and bolts must be different grades of stainless. One of the nuts galled.

Great product just as described.
I needed that exact size U-bolt in stainless steel to keep me from making modifications.
Major issue with the lock nut, once fastened onto the u-bolt up to hand tight, whether using hand tools or drill, several nuts seized and could not be loosened rendering the u-bolt useless as it could not be properly tightened. Eventually the bolt gave way and snapped off. Quality control missed big time on these!
Something is wrong with this item. Maybe and issue with the nylock nuts Not really sure. They will tighten partway, and then go no further....and you can't get them unthreaded. Had to cut off the U-bolt. I'd think that somehow we messed up and cross threaded them or something, but that was not the case. Definitely a product defect.
It was all there but when I tightened down the nylon lock nuts on the bracket, the nylon came out on three of the four packs I purchased.
It was hard to find the size U-Bolt, but it came exactly what I needed and on time. Thanks, trailer, and I will use it again.
I never write reviews, but I want to warn other buyers. Use different nuts than what comes with these bolts. I saw the reviews that said they cease to the bolts & won’t move, but thought it was operator error & I wouldn’t have any problem. I bought 4 bolts & 2 of them had the nuts stick before they were even tight. They wouldn’t move either way, resulting in the bolts having to be cut off & one being too short to use. Do what you want, but I wouldn’t risk it again. I’d use different nuts.
Something is wrong here. Thread pitch is not correct it seems. Nuts would tighten so far and then stop. Would not loosen. Had to cut the nuts off and damaged the u- bolts. Have to order replacements but it won't be from etrailer. 2 weeks I waited for in stocks items to be delivered and then find the product is faulty.
The rating is not necessarily for these Ubolts, but the Electric Jack that i previously purchased. It would have been nice to have this size included w/ the jack.
The bolts were exactly what I needed. Shipping was very quick. I found them to be a great price for stainless.
These u boats are a quality product. I am replacing the u bolts on my boat trailer with these to hetbridnofnrusted parts. The pricing was very competitive and actually better than I could get locally. Service was prompt and accurate.
