A trailer hitch mounted cargo carrier can be used on the back of a 5th wheel trailer. But you must keep in mind that there is significantly more bouncing at the back of the trailer. Because of this I recommend some extra precautions to secure the carrier and cargo.
First, I recommend the use of an anti-rattle device such as the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch, # RM-061. This device will hold the carrier shank tight against the inside of the receiver to eliminate movement. I have included a link to a video demonstration for you.
For added extra support for your cargo and the carrier, I would also use ratcheting straps, like # EM31352 to keep everything in its place. I would not use a bungee type cord alone because the elasticity would allow for movement.
I have included links to the installation details and a review of the Pro Series Cargo Carrier, # 63153, for you.
