Question:
I recently acquired a boat trailer and am retro fitting it to carry 4 kayaks. 2 will be strapped down to base with sea wings and then 2 will be hung on their side from a pole in middle. I am looking for kayak racks that will secure to a wall and I can strap a kayak into while on the trailer. Will the strapping system on these secure a kayak enough to transport it on a trailer.

Expert Reply:
The Swagman Tajo Wall Mounted Kayak Storage System, # S65146, and similar items are not rated for use on a trailer so I cannot say how well they would perform since they are not designed for the stresses of this application. I recommend using a set of J-style carriers, # S65148, to cradle the kayaks and then probably some additional ratchet straps, # EM31352, to hold it all in place.
