Driving long stretches with a roof rack can sometimes bring unwanted wind noise. The JetStream crossbars on this Yakima BaseLine system are shaped to help reduce that noise and vibration. The rubber strips in the top channels push down when you install accessories and then close back up, keeping airflow smooth and quiet. You get a cleaner ride without having to trim or modify anything.
When you’re loading up for a trip, you want the rack to feel solid. This setup includes two aluminum crossbars measuring 50" long x 2-3/4" wide x 1-1/8" tall, built to handle up to 165 lbs while staying strong and lightweight. The aluminum build resists rust and flex, so you can haul kayaks, cargo boxes, or other outdoor gear with confidence mile after mile.
The aero-style bars are ready for almost any type of gear mount. You can slide hardware directly into the top channels or use clamp-around attachments if that’s what your carriers require. That means it’s simple to switch between hauling a kayak one weekend and a cargo box the next without changing your rack setup.
If you like to leave your gear mounted when you park, this rack accepts Yakima’s Same Key System lock cores (sold separately). Adding those gives you one key for all your towers and helps deter theft when your vehicle is unattended during trips or overnight stops.
This complete system includes two JetStream crossbars, four BaseLine towers, and a custom fit kit designed specifically for vehicles without existing rails. It installs directly onto your naked roof for a solid connection that looks integrated and keeps your gear stable wherever the road takes you.
