This propane hose is ideal for travel trailers with a split-tank system. This kind of system features 1 cylinder on the driver's side and 1 cylinder on the passenger's side of your trailer. This hose connects the cylinder on the passenger's side to a high-pressure regulator. An additional hose (sold separately) will then carry the propane from the high-pressure regulator to the 2-stage regulator on the driver's side of your trailer.
Bypass Mode for Safety
This Type 1 connector will go into bypass mode if the flow rate surpasses the maximum flow capacity for this connector, which is 450,000 Btu per hour. A ball inside of the fitting will push an internal spring down, pressing firmly against the bottom of the fitting to shut off the flow of gas.
When choosing a Type 1 connector, consider your overall propane demands and choose a connector with a flow rate that just exceeds it. That way, you won't trigger the bypass mode during normal use, but it will trigger in the event of a leak. If the bypass valve engages, stop using gas and start checking your connections for leaks.

Looks like good quality. Easy install. I wish etrailer sold the T connector as well, but I was able to get it at my local DIY store.
The high quality of this piece is evident. In particular, the crimped collars (where my OE gas line failed on my Airstream) are exceptionally made.
I had to go to a longer length because of time constraints on my end. They fit great. Ready to go.

So far so good. I've had these for a year now and no issues since I put them on. I love that they are made in the USA as well. Sturgis will be my brand from now on unless they start manufacturing in china.

No problems thus far. A good product.
Made in USA sold this item. It's only been installed for 20 minutes, but no leaks detected following the install. Hoping for years of trouble-free service.
Seem very solid and made in the USA so must be good, right? But the real reason I take the time to write this review is to praise etrailer's staff for their excellent customer service. My package was lost by USPS at the Canadian border and etrailer followed up with several emails and a phone call and reshipped my order. I didn't have to harass anyone, I only needed to send one email initially. They really cared about making sure I was happy. Thank you etrailer staff! Christmas bonus for everyone!

The hoses worked out but oddly different lengths despite what was ordered and packaged. Not an eTrailer issue but provided feedback. eTrailer has excellent customer service.

New hose assembly fit perfect. Needed a hose a tad longer than what came on my camper. Mfg. of camper made hose slightly to short for my liking. Old hose was kinking.
