Bypass Mode for Safety
This Type 1 connector will go into bypass mode if the flow rate surpasses the maximum flow capacity for this connector, which is 450,000 Btu per hour. A ball inside of the fitting will push an internal spring down, pressing firmly against the bottom of the fitting to shut off the flow of gas.
When choosing a Type 1 connector, consider your overall propane demands and choose a connector with a flow rate that just exceeds it. That way, you won't trigger the bypass mode during normal use, but it will trigger in the event of a leak. If the bypass valve engages, stop using gas and start checking your connections for leaks.

Now searching for the right one to fit. tried an adapter but gas is leaking.
I have replaced my hoses several times and they repeatedly have gotten hard, then leak at the fittings. The "rubber" compound in these hoses appears to be better quality than what I have previously found. Time will tell.
These hoses replaced some 15 year old hoses that had become very hard and stiff. Very flexible and good quality fittings. 12" length fit camper twin tanks perfectly. Hoses had been backordered for about 2 months but etrailer customer support kept me updated frequently on order status. Very pleased with order.
The product is fine, works as advertised. But the length is not 12" 10.5" at best
Worked fine adapting a 25 lb propane bottle to my space heater!

Ive used it almost daily during the winter months. Probably refilled the propane 4 times with zero issues.

I installed two pigtails and a new regulator in less than 15 minutes. Everything went smoothly and tested well. I appreciate the expert advice. These have the BTU throughput I need.
This is working exactly the way it should, no problems.
Easy do-it-yourself fix with simple hand tools. My OE hoses were only two years old, cracking and one was leaking. These are made in USA.

Perfect replacement/upgrade to the OEM gas connections on my Dutchman Camper. The South Alabama heat is brutal on exposed gas lines - one even blew out. At this price, I went ahead and replaced both. Fast shipping. Will definitely buy from etrailer.com again.

Just what I needed
This was exactly what I needed. I have since traded in that trailer but I will be ordering from you again.
I had a hose blow out about 18 months ago, so I replaced both hoses with Chinese made stainless braided ones. They lasted about 6 months and one started leaking. I replaced those hoses with these, and one year later, I am still happy. The crimping seems better on these hoses, so hopefully they will last at least a few more years till the rubber starts to dry rot.
Both propane hoses on my 2 year old trailer were cracked and leaking.
Ordered 2 new Hoses from etrailer. They arrived quickly. The hoses were heavy duty, and easy to install.
They have been on the trailer for a year and still look brand new.
I bought 2 of these hoses and one of them just seems to "seep" gas. Even if you tighten it as much as humanly possible, you can still smell gas. If you don't tighten it to absolute max, you can actually move the hose a bit and you will hear the gas seeping out at a higher rate. The other one seems totally fine so it seems there may be some inconsistency in the product itself. I appreciate the 1 year follow up from eTrailer though.....
Seems a good product. Alas after I purchased it a year ago, i never installed it!. Still have it :)

Working fine, still pliable and leak free and defect free
Great quality and great price. I replaced my existing pigtails with these and they work just fine. One of the existing pigtails was leaking and neither of them had the MB Sturgis connector.
I had a leaking gas hose on my camper so I replaced both pig tails with these from etrailer. They fit perfect. I was not sure about the inverted male flare end but it was correct, connected directly to the regulator/switchover valve fitting. Delivery was fast - two days.
Looks great made in the USA, arrived fast, I am waiting for the propane regulator to come in before I can install pigtails. Our travel trailer is under the massive propane regulator recall. The videos at etrailer takes the guesswork out when ordering
Having ordered from etrailer a few times before, I wasn't surprised by the fast shipping, great price, and the quality of the items I ordered.
This hose section was an easy replacement that fixed the LP leak I had.
MG Sturgis parts are made in the USA and are good quality. Years of direct sun had destroyed my old pigtails, and these are just the ticket for replacements. Well built and inexpensive. A no brainer.
I was able to find the pig tails for my propane tanks that I needed. Everyone else only had the pig tails with small office on the tank side. Right part good price.

I can see where the confusion comes in. I had our stock checked and the overall length is 12 inches and the length of of the hose is 10.5 inches. If this differs from the one that you received please let me know.
