5 stars for etrailer and Will specifically. The first unit we got was a lemon. After replacing the motherboard that furrion sent us under warranty it still wasn’t working properly. Contacting furrion was pointless. They didn’t have any replacements in stock so with them we were out of luck. Thank God we purchased from etrailer! Will (who is literally the best customer service rep I’ve ever dealt with from any company) helped us out immediately. He sent us a replacement almost overnight along with a prepaid shipping return label for the lemon. This new one worked like a champ. The few cons I will say I’ve encountered with this water heater... sometimes it has a mind of its own and the temperature will just climb all the way up to 124 and then come back down even though it’s set at 95. I have no idea why it does this, fortunately it doesn’t happen very often. I cannot get a lukewarm shower very easily, if I turn on the cold water to cool it off it either makes the hot water heat up more to compensate or completely turns off the hot water. That’s kinda annoying. Sometimes it won’t even do 95, it starts at like 102 or higher, I’m thinking it’s bc it’s summer and the ground water is just too warm? Idk but that’s kinda frustrating too. Sometimes it’s hot out and you don’t want a hot shower but not a freezing one either, somewhere in the middle is ideal and on those days it’s hard to get the right temperature. Another issue is a design flaw so that when It rains, water gets in the exhaust hole and it will prevent the water heater from turning on. My husband put duct tape over it to create a flap which looks [bad] but works well. Haven’t had a problem since. Furrion would do well to create a flap for the exhaust hole to prevent this issue. Other than that, it does heat on demand as it should and keeps the temperature well. I love having endless hot water in the shower, especially since we have multiple people showering daily. Because it works on low pressure we have no need to install a separate pressure regulator as many have to do with the other brands available. We’ve never had an issue with it working no matter what water pressure we have. Overall I would definitely recommend this one. It can operate on lower pressure than the other ones out there and is more powerful. The control monitor is perfect too. We placed ours in the bathroom by the shower since we knew that would be the only time We’d want to adjust the water temp. It works well, has advantages over the others on the market and is a little cheaper to boot.

Comments
Thank you for your review. The hot water heather has a default temperature of 115 F which is why it gets hotter initially.

Review from a similar Furrion Tankless in RV Water Heaters

Very easy install and a great upgrade. We use our camper as a seasonal. Between kids, the beach and guests this is almost a necessity. Install was a breeze with the only minor inconvenience was the proper sized door being unavailable. I had to fabricate a filler for the gaps. Other then that it was almost plug and play. As far as the unit, it seems to be built well. It works as advertised, with an adjustable, endless supply of water. Thermostat is easy and simple to understand. Set it and go. Highly recommend. I have high expectations that Furrion will make a name for themselves in the RV industry.

Review from a similar Furrion Tankless in RV Water Heaters

After much research I ordered this tankless water heater and installed. It works great, hot water is available in less than 30 seconds. There were a couple small issues I corrected on install, the screws protruding from the bottom of the unit were a bit to long not allowing the unit to set flat and my preference on the split plastic door latch next to the heat exhaust I change to a steel washer to prevent loosing the heater door.

Review from a similar Furrion Tankless in RV Water Heaters

Installed as a replacement for an old 6 gallon Atwood; huge improvement. Way less wasted gas and it could not be easier to set the desired heat. The install was fairly straightforward, although the orientation of the inlet/outlet was different enough from the old unit that I had to redo the water lines. The sheet metal screws on the bottom also protrude beyond the bottom of the unit and I ended up shaving down the linoleum to get it to fit.

This unit really is very nice. I removed the 6 gallon water heater from my travel trailer and replaced it with this one. Absolutely love it. Works great. I have an older 1990 Holiday Rambler and I am so very happy to have this unit in and working great.

Installation was easy. I needed to run a ground to the body of the unit for my control center to work correctly. My tank/battery level lights would not work until I did. Hot water flowed quickly to my faucets and shower.

Simple to install, works awesome at 50 psi. As for my application I wish the door was bigger, it doesn't cover the old hole the Atwood I replaced was in.

Great product. A little time consuming to install but that was due to tight spaces and water line configuration. Works great. No more lukewarm showers.

  • 3 Door Options for Furrion Tankless Water Heater
There are 3 doors that work with the Furrion tankless water heater. For a 16" x 16" door use # FR43FR For a 16" X 18" door use # 405383ET For a 18" X 18" door use # 405384ET I would choose the smallest door unless I was working with an existing mount from a previous installation.

The Furrion # FR93FR enclosure measurements (that match the rough opening call) is 12-3/4" wide X 12-3/4" tall X 23-1/2" deep.
