Features to know about

Effortless Propane Connections: Type 1 - Female and 1/4" Male Inverted Flare

Connecting your propane cylinder to a regulator shouldn't be a chore. With the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail, the Female Type 1 fitting securely attaches to the valve on your propane cylinder, while the 1/4" Male inverted flare fits perfectly to the propane regulator. It's versatile enough for both single and dual tank setups, ensuring a seamless connection every time on your travel trailer.

Safety First in Extreme Situations: Built-in Bypass and Thermal Shut-Off Device

Peace of mind comes standard with safety features designed to protect you and your equipment. The built-in bypass mode kicks in whenever gas flow exceeds 450,000 Btu per hour, automatically shutting off the flow in case of leaks. Additionally, a thermal shut-off device turns off gas flow in high-heat situations, like an open flame, making it a reliable partner in extreme conditions.

Durability for the Long Haul: Stainless Steel Overbraid

Traveling with propane doesn't have to mean replacing hoses frequently. This pigtail hose is encased in a durable stainless steel overbraid, protecting it from damage against the elements and critters. It's a robust choice that ensures long service life, so you won't find yourself needing a replacement every couple of years.

Prepared for High Demands: 450,000 Btu/hour Maximum Flow Capacity

Whether you're cooking up a feast or heating up your living space, this hose doesn't flinch. Rated for high pressure with a maximum flow capacity of 450,000 Btu per hour, it meets the demands of even the busiest camp kitchens and appliances. Enjoy consistent performance without the worry of triggering bypass mode during normal use.

Built to Last in Any Environment: High-Quality Thermoplastic and Brass Fittings

Designed for long-lasting use, the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail boasts thermoplastic hose material and sturdy brass fittings, both approved specifically for LP gas. Withstanding temperatures from -40°F to 140°F, it's built to perform in both freezing winters and scorching summers. Install it and forget it, knowing it's crafted to endure.

Certified Excellence: UL569 and ANSI Z21-81 Standards

Take comfort in knowing your propane setup complies with rigorous safety and performance standards. This pigtail is UL569 and ANSI Z21-81 certified, confirming its reliability and top-tier quality. It's not just a product, it's a trusted component in your living or travel setup made right here in the USA.

  • Do You Need Teflon Tape For A Propane Pigtail Connector.
Yes, you will need teflon tape rated for use with propane. The MB Sturgis Propane Hose Assembly - RV Type 1 w/ Back Check x 1/4" MPT - 12" # 100473-12 does not have an inverted flare in it so it will require tape on the end leading away from the propane tank. An example of the inverted flare can be seen on the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail - Stainless Overbraid - Type 1 x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare - 2' # 100833-24. If you look at the fitting running away from the tank you will see the flare. If...

This is a 2 foot hose, though we also have a 15" hose # 100833-15 and 1 foot hose # 100575-12-MBS. These hoses are also available with back check, the 20" # 100473-20-MBS, 15" # 100473-15-MBS and 12" # 100473-12. • Can 30 lb Propane Tank Be Connected to Big Buddy Propane Heater
Yes, you can use a larger 30 lb propane tank with your Big Buddy Heater. Just be sure you're still using your regulator so the propane pressure is lowered to best suit your heater, and your hose has a Type 1 connector on one end like what we see with the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail w/ Back Check # 100833-24. If you aren't sure about the connections you have then please feel free to shoot me some photos and I'll be more than happy to help you out!

  • Replacement Propane Hose Pigtail for Connecting Regulator and Propane Tank on Camper
I looked up the hose and the regulator you currently have, and found that the GHA7 hose uses an ACME Nut connector to the LP tank and a 1/4 inch male inverted flare that connects to the 3/8 to 1/4 adapter used on the regulator. We offer the necessary pigtails in many lengths for rubber hose, you can use # 37207-30755 for a 2 foot length, # 37207-30775 for a 3 foot length or # CAM59183 for a 4 foot length. If you'd prefer braided steel hose for durability, use part # 100833-24 for a 2...

  • Recommended Supply Inlet And Outlet Hoses For A JR Products Automatic Changeover Propane Regulator
For the JR Products Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator # 37207-30395 you can use two of the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail # 100833-24 for the supply inlets from the tanks. For the outlet it's going to require some additional fittings depending on the connection points on the appliances you're trying to connect to. You could use a supply hose like # 37207-31025 and connect to a manifold and hook different fitting types into the manifold or if you know what type of fitting you'll...

  • Who Makes JR Products Propane Regulator
The Automatic Changeover RV LP Gas Regulator # 37207-30395 that you referenced is made by JR Products. It does not come with pigtail hoses for the tanks so for that you'd want the pigtails like the part # 100833-24.

  • I Need a 20 Inch Propane Tank Pigtail Hose with a Type 1 x 1/4 inch NPT Fitting
I'm assuming you are asking for a 20 inch hose, which the closest option we have at this time would be the combination of our pigtail hose, part # 100833-24, and adapter # 204120-MBS. If you don't mind using a typical rubber hose, you can use part # 37207-30865.

  • Recommended Longer Propane Pigtail for Cargo Area with Limited Clearance
Thank you for the picture! It looks like a longer pigtail hose is going to allow you to turn the cylinder enough to connect to your regulator, so I recommend using something like the MB Sturgis # 100833-24, which is 24" long. I've also linked our entire selection of pigtail hoses that have 1/4" male inverted flares and Type 1 connectors. Using a longer pigtail like this should allow you to connect your Camco Propane Cylinder Gas Gauge and Leak Detector # CAM59023 to the regulator and allow...

I recommend the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail - Stainless Overbraid, # 100833-24 with a Type 1 fitting that has an internal back-check and your needed 1/4" male inverted flare. We also have the MB Sturgis Propane Hose w/ Back Check, # 100473-24-MBS that is basically the same hose connection but without the overbraid. These are Made In USA products.

The maximum propane flow capacity of this regulator is 400,000 BTU per hour so it can handle the 18,000 BTU of your Empire wall mount ventless heater. The two stage regulator is also the best option for the heater that is most likely running for extended amounts of time. Most likely there is a POL fitting on the tank, you can use 100019-48 pigtail to the regulator. The hose does not have a back check so you need adapter fitting part...
