The Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack lets you move the uprights anywhere along the bed thanks to the dual-track base rails. That makes it easy to carry long pipes or short planks without a bunch of re-rigging. Just loosen the quick-release knobs to slide the sections together for better aerodynamics or move them apart for big gear. With a 1,250-lb carrying capacity, it’s built to handle serious work or weekend loads like kayaks, lumber, or a rooftop tent.

The rack installs right into the stake pockets—no drilling needed. The wide base under each upright spreads the load for solid stability, so you don’t have to add extra bracing. Once mounted, the base rails sit neatly on top of the bed rails and form the foundation for the sliding system. You can remove the uprights quickly when you need full bed access or re-attach them in just minutes.

Each rack includes 4 heavy-duty aluminum load stops that slide in the top slots of the crossbars and lock in place with a simple twist of the knob. They hold ladders, lumber, or other long cargo right where you want it. The 4 side cleats on the uprights give extra tie-down points for straps or ropes, so you can secure everything tight before you hit the road.

The elliptical 65-inch crossbars cut down on drag and wind noise, while built-in airfoil strips stop the whistling you get with open slots. Made from 6000-series aluminum, the rack is strong but lightweight, so it won’t eat up your payload capacity. A dual-stage powder coat with e-coat and clear coat resists corrosion and scratches, keeping the rack looking clean even after years of use.
Every part of the TracRac SR—from the base rails to the uprights and accessories—is rustproof aluminum. That means it holds up through wet weather and heavy use without needing touch-ups. The internal web structure inside the crossbars adds rigidity without extra weight, giving you a rack that’s as practical for daily work as it is for long-haul adventures.
