1970 GMC C/K Series Pickup

Got my new hitch late last night. I was so glad to get it I had to put it together right then. Its going to be a perfect fit. The hitch is very well built. Very surprised I could find a hitch for a 1970 GMC. I will be pulling my 27 ft Toy hauler after a little more restoration work. Always happy with Etrailer. I installed this hitch on a 1998 Chevy K3500 with a dump bed. I had to make a slight modification to the truck so that the hitch would bolt up. This included removing a metal shield from under the rear fuel tank, the hitch now offers some protection for the tank. In addition, I had to drill 2 - 1/2” holes in the rear of the frame to install the hitch. The hitch now works great on this older truck, and has been used many times over the past year.

Fits nicely right under a 10 inch drop bumper on my 97 F-250 HD. Was able to leave the spare tire under there, though I had to grind the latching system a bit to have it fit just right. It is very visible from the sides of the truck along the sides of the frame because of how much it has to drop, but it is not very visible from the rear for those that care about aesthetics.

Ford F-350 Super Duty

Did not come with a provision for mounting a trailer wiring connector, otherwise it was perfect and fairly easy to install. By far best of the 3 that I've ordered for this truck (69 f350). Low bar, the other two were too wide and too narrow for the chassis respectively.

1993 Ford F-250 Super Duty

I installed two of these on 1993 ford trucks a f250 and a f350. Both trucks are 7.3 diesels with heavy cowboy bumpers. Buy high grade drill bits, Don't weld to the frame. Don't expect the spare tire and it's brackets to stay on the trucks and expect to reroute the tailpipe. In the end much more useful than just the bumper for multiple receiver hitch applications and worth the effort to upgrade.

This hitch went on my 84 K30 Chevy. Very easy once you remove the spare tire and carrier. Way heavy duty but very easy to install. No complaints with hitch whatsoever. The hitch was delivered in a cardboard box that had seen its better days. Box was busted open in several areas but the anvil type quality of the hitch didn't effect it at all. May have been the shipper fault but none the less.

1983 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup

Although I had to "help" a couple holes with a drill the install went very well and looks great on my 83 k20! The holes were only partly off and took a few seconds to line up. Highly recommend curt products from E Trailer!

1985 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup

The box was roughed up a bit by delivery and one of the bolts is now rolling around in a delivery truck somewhere in America. Anyhow, I contacted etrailer and they got a whole new pack of bolts sent my way. Now I have a ton of extras. Anyhow, the hitch fit my 1985 C30, although I had to drill holes in the frame (easy). It looks super sturdy and was in good shape. No powder coat issues.

Looks strong but when I opened the package it was just rolling around in a giant box. Scratched and one end of the mounting area is bent. I get it's going to be used a lot but if I'm paying a lot of money I would expect a better packaging

I was able to obtain from Curt a chart showing key dimensions for their 3-Piece Trailer Hitch # C15511 (and other hitch models) that I linked for you. This shows that for hitch # C15511 the overall front-to-back length is just under 24-inches. The height from the top of the mount down to the top of the receiver tube is 8-inches.

Will the Curt Hitch 13028 Fit a 1966 Chevrolet C10 with Aftermarket Bumper
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13028 could potentially fit your 1966 Chevrolet C10 with aftermarket bumper. However, I would not be able to confirm this as the trailer hitch is only tested with the OEM bumper. I have attached a photo for you with a few measurements that will allow you to see if the receiver tube will clear the bumper. Roger, I can't quite tell from the picture anything about the frame rails on your 1984 Ford F-150 4x4, but the Curt # C15511 will work just fine with your 8" deep drop bumper and has the class V ratings you're looking for. Because the mounting flange of the Curt # C15511 Class V hitch has 3 tabs on each side, rather than a continuous mounting flange like many other hitches, it'll fit around the rivet shown in your photo. The drop of the B & W Class V # BWHDRH25198 is 7-3/8 inches. That represents the distance from the underside of the frame member where the hitch mounts to the top of the receiver tube. A standard bumper looks like a regular old bumper that goes straight across at the top and bottom and might have a cut out in the center for a license plate but the cutout does not drop below the bottom of the bumper. That's a really good question, and the reason the Curt 3-Piece Trailer Hitch Receiver - Multi Fit # C15511 is able to fit both 34 inch and 37-1/2 inch frames on your 1993 Ford is due to the placement of the side plates.
