Could TracRac SR Sliding Ladder Rack be Used with Roof Rack Style Platform Tent

Can the TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rackinch be adapted to fit a roof top tent, or carry a roof top platform?

The TracRac SR Ladder Rack part # TH43001XT-600 has more than enough capacity for a roof top tent. It has a capacity of 1,250 lbs and the uprights can slide closer together as needed. It would easily be the best base for a roof rack style of tent that I can think of.
We don't carry a tent for this style of application nor do we have a platform, but if you have one in mind already this would be a great solution.
