The Thule TracRac SR ladder rack slides the full length of your truck bed, so you can set the crossbars exactly where you need them. Whether you’re hauling long boards, pipes, or a single kayak, the quick-release knobs let you loosen, move, and lock the uprights in seconds. When you don’t need the rack, it slides forward to clear the bed or can be removed entirely from the base rails. With a 1,250-lb carrying capacity, it handles serious work and weekend gear alike.

The rack is made from 6000-series aluminum that’s both strong and lightweight, so it won’t cut into your payload capacity. It’s naturally rustproof, and the dual-stage powder coat—an e-coat followed by a clear coat—adds extra protection against scratches and corrosion. The internal web structure in each crossbar boosts rigidity, keeping everything solid even under heavy loads.
Elliptical crossbars help air move cleanly over the rack, cutting down on drag and wind noise. Each bar has a built-in airfoil strip that blocks air from whistling through the T-slots, so you get a quieter ride whether the rack is loaded or empty.
Eight aluminum tie-downs come standard—four adjustable load stops that fit in the top channels of the crossbars and four side cleats on the uprights. The load stops have built-in strap loops and slide along the bars for quick setup, giving you solid anchor points for ladders, lumber, or boats.

The base rails drop right into the truck’s stake pockets, so there’s no drilling required. The wide bases on each upright add stability without extra bracing. The whole setup mounts over the bed rails, leaving your bed open for tools or gear while keeping the load supported above it.

I bought my first Thule TracRac in 2018 and loved it for its crisp style, robust integrity and ease of removal so in 2025 when I bought my next F-150 Lariat I bought the same Trac Rac again. It's a wonderful design. Pro-tip, get the BAK industries tonneau cover too, they fit together perfectly. Amazing!
Past 20 years I've used Rack-It truck racks. They're solid steel, eventually rust and took two grown men (and an extra set of nuts) to remove them from the truck. Great racks. Just way more than what I need the older I get.
However I wanted something that could easily be removed (by myself), if needed, and was aluminum. I bought these, as well as the extension cantilever, and it serves my needs as a general contractor. It supports my 24' walk plank just fine. The only thing I have to be creative to transport is full length rebar. If I transported rebar all the time, this rack would not be my first choice.
At the time of my purchase, there was not a specific rack for my GMC AT4. So I simply measured the bed of the truck, bought one with a similar measurement, and modified the drilling holes to work.
Lastly, I didn't want a silver color rack on my black truck. While you could get the racks in black. You could not purchase a black cantilever. So I simply had all the pieces powder coated black.
Honestly, I get a lot of compliments on it. Because no one else has one like it.
I'm very happy with it. It's perfect for the occasional ladder, walk plank, or 16' piece of lumber. I've had it mounted for over a year now, with zero problems! I remove it weekly to go through the car wash, and throw it back on in 5 min or less when i get home.
We've been really happy with the Thule Sliding TracRac, and have made some unusual modifications. We wanted to mount it outside/around a camper shell, so we needed to mount the rails outboard of the truck bed (aluminum "shelves") and figure out how to make the crossbars longer (bought a third crossbar and connected extension sections by making three-holed t-slots nuts and using round aluminum tubes). None of this sanctioned by etrailer or Thule, of course. See photos, which also show an adaptor I made to mount a Thule square bar above the TracRac crossbar to use existing Thule accessories.
Couldn't be happier with the Rack, it went together and operates flawlessly. Dealing with e trailer was a snap, I was informed all the way through the buying process of shipping and arrival dates. Will absolutely buy shop again with e trailer.
I move a lot of material for work. This rack seems very well constructed, very easy to put together and install. Being able to adjust the racks and slide them completely out of the way was reasoning to purchase this exact unit. I also tow a gooseneck trailer and need full access to the bed of my truck. Great product that functions and looks nice on a black truck with chrome trim package.
Ordered this rack for my 2023 Ford F350 super duty long bed, even when being told it was on a 2-3 month backorder the sales team kept me updated throughout the whole process. I actually received this order 1 month ahead of original schedule and it fit perfectly on my truck. Everything lines up perfectly fine minimum tools where required and looks great.
Great product as it was promoted. Also good quality and strong. I’m using it to add to my rack.
Perfect, I'm very happy with the produc t.
holding up great. does its job...
Great customer service
Excellent rack. I've using these racks for about 15 years.

The bolts that keep the uprights from sliding seized on both sides. Had to cut off the plastic hand knobs to access the head of the bolts and use a pipe wrench to get the bolts out. Less than one year old. Other than that, happy with the rack.
Easy install, great directions, awesome product. This is a well made product as reflected in the price. I would not recommend anything but this system. Including locking slide knobs would have earned it 5 stars.
The rack was sent incomplete but the follow up from e-trailer was excellent.
They responded quickly to questions and concerns an solved the problem in good time.
The rack it self has been useful. As for the quality of the product my fears of the powder coating starting to bubble and flake has happened and isn't stopping. This started about month four of owning the Thule product. There are no scratches just corrosion under the powder coat and the cause of the flaking finish. It hauls well no doubt. If you are looking for it to hold up to the elements and look tasteful mine has not. Honestly I had expected the finish to let go but not so soon. powder coating aluminum and doing it correctly is hard to do. I would order a cheaper option next time as price did not dictate quality with this product. The rack is used to carry a kayak. It has done that very well.

Works really well and allows me to still have my tonneau cover operational
These racks are simple to install and perform as expected. Pros are that they can slide all the way to the cab to get out of the way while not in use. Or can be totally removed if you need to park in a low clearance garage or want to go through the car wash. Cons are they can and will break if you back up against a tree limb or basketball hoop but that’s not really the racks fault now is it. The silver paint will inevitably start to chip off once the cast aluminum starts to oxidize after a few years. Kind of a bummer since otherwise they look nice.

In the instructions, it mentions removing the rack when not in use to keep it looking new longer. Using graphite or a dry lubricant around the locks and turning the locks periodically, so they will not get stuck, is also recommended.
Perfect for transporting our tandem kayak along with bikes while pulling a travel trailer. I do miss my tonneau cover and wish there was a way to incorporate both

You are in luck, because there are a few inside-bed-rail tonneau covers that fit your truck bed with the TracRac ladder rack. I would look at the Leer Soft Tonneau Cover - Roll Up - Vinyl and Aluminum # LE78VR which fits the 6-12 bed.
I did install the Thule TracRac SR. I did it on my own and it went well.
I'm really pleased with it.
As for the photo, I will send you one, once I've washed my truck.
Can't make a photo with a dirty truck.
I will leave feedback later after some time with the rack.
