Hi there, haulers. Today we're going to be taking a look at Draw-Tite's Rubber Hitch Cover. They're available for either two inch hitches or for one and a quarter inch hitches. This Draw-Tite Hitch Cover is a press to fit. So there's no pin or anything needed to hold it in place. It just pushes in and it stays in there.
And when you're ready to take it out, just give it a nice tug and it'll pull right out of there. You can see the raised sections around the outside, where it presses it tight, holding it in.The main purpose of our Draw-Tite Cover here is to keep dirt and debris from getting inside of our hitch receiver when we're not using it. As dirt and debris builds up inside the hitch receiver, it can be difficult to slide in and out your accessories, and it could get bad enough to a point where you can't get the accessory in until you clean all that dirt and debris out.Keeping a cover in there is going to prevent you from having to do this because it's not going to be able to build up on the inside edges, just here around the outside, and we can just hit that with a hose, no big deal. And plus it's on the outside, so it's not going to affect the operation of sliding anything into the receiver.It's also going to give you a nice appearance on the back of your hitch, displaying the Draw-Tite logo and completely hiding the opening on your receiver. And once you get your hitch installed, you can enjoy its appearance and be sure that you'll be able to enjoy its functionality with ease of use for a long time to come.Now we do have various other hitch covers here at etrailer.com with different logos on them.
So you can pick one that's going to best suit your needs, but Draw-Tite also has a another product available, which is only for the two inch hitches, but it is a hitch silencer and hitch cover in one. I would recommend that one, if you do have a two inch hitch and you've got the clearance to use it because it acts as an anti-rattle device, in addition to being a hitch cover.The only reason why that you wouldn't want to use that one over this one is if you don't have proper clearances around your receiver, as this one slides right inside your receiver end to hold it in place. The silencer will go around your hitch receiver, so you need a little bit of extra space around the outside. And what's cool about that one is it has a door that flips open that covers up your receiver, but it also has a locking lever on the side. So once you put whatever you have now, you hit the locking lever down and it shifts the whole assembly over a little bit, pressing it tight against the receiver, eliminating any rattle noises.

Hard to find a 1.25" receiver "plug" - I chose this because it's flexible RUBBER - not hard plastic - and the inner core of this is longer than others available - once you stick it in the receiver hole - it stays.
I happened to buy a Draw tite hitch - and like the symmetry of the logos as a bonus - but will work nicely in any 1.25" receiver.
As always - promptly sent out by etrailer with great communication.
I have a 1 1/4 hitch from "Hidden Hitch" and had a rubber hitch cover that was either stolen or got pulled out somehow; at any rate it was lost. This one is an excellent replacement; actually this one is more secure than the one I got with my 1 1/4 hitch. When you put this hitch protector into the open hitch it goes in further and is VERY securely in place. I bought a couple to be safe; but I highly recommend these!
Convenient little sucker. Highly recommend to plug the receiver to keep dirt and water out.

Works great With the receiver out you cannot tell it’s even there. car tows well Prius power!
I first wanted a fancier cover but, when Rose G. looked into it and informed me that it did not come in the size I needed so,decided on this one. It's perfectly functional, fits well, and actually blends into the cart so it doesn't draw attention to the hitch. Great product, and I'm happy with it.

Fits,Looks, and performs like it did over a year ago! Great product!
Here is my setup using the items from my two orders, including the two ant-rattle devices (not mentioned in captions). The pictures aren't that great of quality, since I just used my cell phone (my only camera anymore). Everything works perfectly.
Arrived quickly and as described. Much appreciated. Subaru dealer installed my hitch but was unable to sell a replacement 1.25" plug. Hard to fathom.

It was what I expected. I was very surprised at how dirty they were when they arrived! 1 was in a plastic bag and the other was loose. I know they will be exposed to the elements in use but I did not expect them to arrive so dirty!
So appreciate the wonderful service from etrailer and the quality of the products they offer.

How do you write a review about a little rubber plug? Well, here is how I did it....
I tried the etrailer plug, the Curt plug and the Drawtite. All three were similar priced. Of the three, this cover definitely holds the best. This is a big deal when you travel rough country roads. The cover keeps out dust and gravel and it gives the vehicle a cleaner appearance. Nobody wants to see your rusty, old hitch with the wires dangling down! Best rubber hitch plug out there because of it's larger rubber ribs. It stays on.

Wow, I still have it! It still stays put.
The cover is solid. The service I received from etrailer was fantastic. I added an adapter to the order that would not fit the hitch I bought. The adapter was for another hitch but it impressed me that order was reviewed. I received a call, very impressed!

I use it every day
Looks good, works fine, keeps the snow and rain out of the hitch tube. Makes the hitch look complete. No obvious wear or tear after one year of on vehicle use.

Excellent. still looks and functions great!
This install was much easier then I expected. The etrailer online step by step video gave me the confidence to install the hitch and wiring without any problems. I installed it last weekend and took my boat the the lake the following weekend. Quality of the products was great! I did go to the BMW dealership and bought the color matched plastic rivets for the wheel well trim. I suggest you get six. My wheel well trim piece is white. etrailer provides black rivets.
Just placed a 1 1/4 “ trailer hitch cover It seems to fit really snugly so very happy about that! I drive a 2020 Acura RDX and our hitch is mainly for our bike rack as we’re into cycling. I like having the tube protected from road debris, splash etc that can cause dirt and rust making inserting our bike rack difficult. We lost our original rubber covers twice already either from a car wash or theft. This new one seems to really fit in well and seems secure. We’ll see! Wish there was another option but a similar cover with a fail safe rubber loop
was not available to n the 1 1/4 only available in the 2” hitch .
This cover fit our Draw-Tite 1-1/4" hitch perfectly. Fits very snug and looks good. Price is good too.

Cover still fits snug and looks as good as new.
This rubber Tube Cover was purchased so that I would not have to experience driving with my hitch to the mall, and coming back to find it gone. Now I simply take off my hitch drawbar, replace it with my cover and go about my shopping in peace. Of course I purchased two of these in case anyone gets itchy fingers and decides to add it to their collection of stolen trophies. Yes, I could've purchased a lock for my hitch, but I am "old school" frugal. It is what it is! Great job "etrailer".
RE: Draw tite trailer hitch cover. Trailer hitch receiver cover was just as advertised. High quality and strong rubber insert fits snugly and looks very impressive. Communication and shipping by the company was great! I'll definitely do business with them again.
