Is there any 2” hitch receiver that will fit the hatchback version of the 2020 Mazda 3 hatchback? If not, might we expect one to be made soon? This seems like a common question…

I have a hitch for your 2020 Mazda 3 hatchback but there are no 2" receivers available. At this point I would say there is not going to be one made for it. You can still do some towing with the Curt item # C98BR. This hitch has a 1-1/4" receiver but it still has a towing capacity of 2,000 lbs and a maximum tongue weight of 200 lbs.

It looks like your Mazda 3 has a 2,500 lbs towing capacity so this hitch would be just under your vehicles capacity. I have linked a picture below to show you what this hitch looks like installed. You will want to confirm with your owners manual what you cars towing capacity is as there may be a variance depending on your Mazda 3 model.

To control your trailer's lights you will want the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # 118808. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located in the rear cargo area. It will provide you with a 4-Flat connector.

For a ball mount you'd need the Draw-Tite Drawbar item # 3593 and then for hitch balls item # 19258 for a 2 inch ball or item # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch ball.

If you were planning on using this hitch for a bike rack then I recommend using the lightweight Kuat Beta item # B202-114. This is a aluminum rack that only weighs 12.6 lbs. It has a maximum weight capacity of 80 lbs and 40 lbs per bike.
