Today, we're going to be taking a look at Part No. AMG102808. This is the Batman logo trailer hitch receiver cover for 2-inch hitches from AMG Hitch Covers. This is going to feature the official licensed Batman logo directly here on the face plate. The hitch cover is going to do more than just add style or allow you to represent what you're a fan of, but it's going to add a nice finished look to your hitch, and it's also going to keep dirt and grime from entering your hitch. Ultimately, it's going to prevent rust and corrosion to the hitch, but they're still fun, and this one has a really nice solid design to it and a really cool look.

It's going to feature the chrome-plated ABS plastic emblem. It's very stylish and very durable. Now that's going to sit on a black, powder-coated metal base, so it's going to resist rust and fading, and the shank is going to be made from that metal construction and have the black powder-coat finish on it as well. They're also going to include a fun gasket that goes around the shank. That's going to sit in between the receiver tube of your hitch and the face plate here at the backside, so that's going to reduce any rattling that you may have as you travel down the road with this installed on your hitch. It does require a hitch pin and clip or hitch pin and lock to get it fully secured in your hitch.

Those items are sold separately. If you don't have one, you can find those here on our website. This is going to accept your standard 5/8-inch diameter pin. Again, it is designed for 2-inch x 2-inch trailer hitch receivers. If we take a measurement of the face, that's going to give us an overall width of about 5 inches with an overall height of about 3-1/2 inches. A few measurements I want to go over with you real quick.

The distance that we have from the back of the face plate to the very end of that shank, so the shank length, is going to be about 3 and 3/16 of an inch. From the back of that face plate to the center of the hitch pinhole, that's going to give some measurement of about 2-5/8 of an inch. Now this pinhole in elongated, so it's not your standard round 5/8-inch pinhole. This is actually going to measure 11/16 of an inch x 3/4 of an inch. Very simple installation process. You put that foam gasket on there, and then you're ready to slide your shank into your 2-inch x 2-inch hitch.

You're going to push it in until you get your pinholes to line with one another. Then you're going to need to install a hitch pin and clip or a hitch pin and lock to secure it. That's going to do it for today's look at Part No. AMG102808.
