Video Transcript for A Closer Look at the State of Texas Color Emblem 2" Hitch Cover

Today we're going to be taking a look at part number AMG102219. This is the State of Texas color emblem 2-inch hitch cover. Hitch covers are going to allow you to represent whatever it is that you're passionate about. They also add a clean finished look to your hitch and they help keep out dirt and grime which is going to help prevent rust and corrosion to the hitch. This particular hitch cover is going to be made from a full metal construction. It's going to have a black powder coat finish so it's going to do a really good job at resisting rust and corrosion and providing a nice long life. Here on the front plate we're going to have a chrome-plated metal emblem that's going to feature a rust proof and fade proof design.

Here on the back side it's going to have a foam gasket. That's going to help prevent rattling which is going to reduce noise during travel. This is an officially licensed product. This piece right here is the piece that slides into your hitch. Push it in until your pinholes are lined up and then you need to secure it with a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock.

Those items are sold separately. If you don't have one, you can find those here on our website. A few dimensions to go over with you real quick. The overall width from edge to edge will have been about 5 inches. Overall height from top to bottom, we're looking at about 3-1/2 inches. Again, this is designed for 2-inch by 2-inch trailer hitch receivers.

If we measure from the back of that foam pad to the center of the hitch pinhole, that's going to give us a measurement of about 2-1/2 inches. Again, it's a nice construction. You can see that it's got four welds 00:02:00 at the corners to hold this piece onto the back of that front plate. Again, full metal and it's going to be coated with that nice black powder coat finish. That's going to do it for today's look at part AMG102219.
