Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Ford trailer hitch cover. This is going to decorate and protect your Ford's hitch receiver. It's gonna slide right into your two-inch by two-inch trailer hitch receiver. Help to keep out the dirt and deter rust. So when you're ready to put your ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier into your receiver tube, it's gonna slide right in.
You're not gonna have a bunch of gunk in there causing it to bind up. This does have the officially licensed Ford logo on this ABS plastic faceplate. That is going to be corrosion-resistant. You can see it does have this chrome plating around the logo that's gonna add style and shine and make it stand out against that UV-resistant blue painted background there. Our base is a stainless steel construction, so it is gonna resist rust and corrosion.
It does come riveted together, so no assembly is gonna be required. The hitch pin and clip are not included. You probably already have one for your hitch, but if not, we do have lots of options available here at etrailer.com. We also have locking pins if you wanna add a little extra security. Make sure that your hitch cover is gonna be on your vehicle when you come back to it.

For a fairly expensive item, the paint and chrome finish is about half gone. I am not pleased with this product.

We received the trailer hitch cover very promptly and we really love it. It fits perfectly and looks great. It's a great product. Made better because it's made in the USA.

I was very pleased with my hitch cover. I was very impressed that it was made of stainless steel. My other one was made of plastic & broke the first time I went to the car wash. It also came with 3 adjustment holes so you can decide how far you want it sticking out

I'm happy with the quality of the product, just not happy with the fit. There is about a
half inch gap between the ford emblem and the receiver. Doesn't look the best.
When I push it in further, the hole doesn't line up.

Well made really stands out, stainless mount, plastic emblem sturdy, fits 1 1/4" hitch
One wonders why all covers made for 1 1/4" with and adapter for 2" so there would be no need for 2 sizes. I attached it to my E Trailer hitch on my Corvette. Yes a tow hitch on a Corvette for bike rack.

This is the second time I have purchased a trailer hitch from this company. I only had to replace this product because I was rear ended a few weeks ago by another driver. The tow bar took all the damage and while it had to be replaced, it protected the back of my jeep from further impact.

- Hitch Cover for a 3-Inch Hitch Receiver?We do not have any hitch covers made for 3" hitches. In fact there is only one hitch cover made for 2-1/2" hitch receivers which is the Curt Hitch Cover # C22277. Having a 3" hitch receiver limits your options whenever you want to use it for non-towing purposes. If ever you want to carry around a bike rack or use a non-towing accessory, I recommend having the Curt Hitch Reducer Sleeve # C45408. It's a small adapter that fits inside your hitch so that you can use normal 2" hitch accessories...
